Jackets are playing for their 1st state baseball championship.

Very good game and couldn't be more proud of the Mustangs. Congrats on a great season

Congrats to the 'Stangs on a GREAT run in the tourney, you did NKY and Campbell Co proud.

Listened to innings 7-9 on the radio driving back from Richmond this evening. Sounded like the WC pitcher was overpowering, but the radio crew was very complimentary of the BB starter (Orth?) as well.

Congrats to the 'Stangs on a great season, and to the Jackets on reaching their first final in their first state tourney.

Hollon was dominant but the Brossart pitcher was great even only pitching in the 60s. We figured he must have some great movement on the ball.

Knuckleballer...

Unusual score for extra inning game. What happened in the 9th inning?

Congrats to Brossart on a terrific season!!

Echoing that we couldn't be prouder of our team.

Winning the region was a major accomplishment for these guys, and playing in the State Tournament an honor and a thrill. And then to win a game, beating Pikeville gave this team some validity, and to knock off X nearly unthinkable.

I guess this one would be easier for all of us to take had we been beaten 6-0 in regulation, bowing to a superior opponent, BUT to go nine innings and to be 90 feet from reaching the championship game is extremely painful. While it hurts tonight, I'm sure that this team will become immortal in the annals of Brossart baseball, giving all future Mustang baseball teams a goal to strive for.

We will always remember this team as one that was still strong enough with veterans after graduating ten seniors, and gutty enough with youngsters to take us to the promised land. The guys who comprised this team will be remembered forever by those of us who took the ride with them.

Woodford County is a worthy finals representative and Holland (?) is a truly dominating pitcher.

Great run by the Mustangs. The talk of northern Kentucky. :thumb:

What a post season for this BB team. You made this 10th region fan very proud!!!!

Congrats to BB for making a deep run into the state playoffs and knocking off some big teams. Their win over St X has to be the biggest win in the history of their program.

Congrats to Brossart on a terrific season!!

Paper said all runs we're unearned.

Congrats to Brossart on a nice run! Heard some seniors had to miss a senior trip to Florida, I'm sure they would not trade it for anything.
