June 5, 201214 yr Congrats Ice. I'll never forget how boring it was to play with him. Every time he pitched I didn't know what to do with myself in the outfield.

I played summer ball with him on the Colonels and am glad to see him have such success on the college level and now be recognized by the big boys in the MLB about what he can do. He didn't play a lot his first year on the Colonels but got much better and was zinging the ball by his second year which started to catch some eyes. Great job Zach! Now its all going to come down to contract negotiations and the $$$'s to see if he goes....

June 5, 201214 yr ZERO chance he goes back to UC . Probably not but the point is every kid is different. Knowing Zach since high school I'd say he is probably going to go. However there are other cases like Alex Meyer who pitched for UK. He was already highly rated coming out of high school and some had him going very high but he told all the scouts that he was going to college no matter what and that caused his stock to drop. Boston finally drafted him and Epstein personally flew out to Indiana to try and convince him to come play for the Red Sox and offered a very lucrative signing bonus but he said no. Granted these are two entirely different situations but its going to be different from kid to kid. You'll see some stay and you'll see some go. I'd wager Isler will go.
