Congrats to Nicholas County and Coach Barry Bretz on making it to the State Tournament. The Lady Jackets make it a clean sweep winning both the All "A" and KHSAA Region. Also congrats to Coach Sosby and his team as well on a great 30 wn season. Two nice guys and class teams. :ylsuper: Nicholas was up 2-1 and scored 2 late to hold on for the 4-2 win.

Never...the only class A team to win the region in softball was Brossart in 2002. Clark County won baseball that year.

What a win tonight. Nicholas County has had a season to remember. Congratulations on the win. The Lady jackets played as a team tonight and for the whole tournament. There was no one payer stood out just a small county school and a bunch of kids and coaches who believed in each other they represented what a team is suppose to be like. Also Congratulations to the Bourbon County team on a great season. What a game. Good luck lady Jackets

Yes won the Class A and Sweet 16 in 1993, and Class A Runner-up in 1994.
