April 26, 201214 yr Ok. I'm confused. I didn't see the game, but earlier in the thread you stated the pitch was clearly a strike, but now you're saying it missed by two feet? What am I missing. It was an 0-2 and Meso was apl but standing straight up for a set up pitch. Marshall threw a fastball jus above the knees on the outer corner. Clearly a strike, but at least 2 feet from where the pitch was called..
April 26, 201214 yr Really tough loss today for the Reds. Had the sweep 3 outs away with a 2 run lead, I for one thought it was in the bag (watching the gamecast), but clearly that didn't work out. I'm not worried about Marshall, just my feeling that he will be just fine. Tough matchup tomorrow vs Wandy. I don't care how bad the Astros may be, Wandy is a good pitcher that can certainly keep his team in the game (and for the record I have not looked at his stats for this year so that may look like a dumb statement).

Your observation is right on. Wandy is 1-2 with a 1.42 ERA. Astros stink (1-2) but he is a hoss (1.42 ERA).
