Well Obama does speak a lot on local matters and racial issues, just thought this was right up his alley for a teachable moment.

Of course, MLK is more famous, but Malcolm was trying to cure blacks of WDD by preaching self-reliance, self rightousness and knowledge of your history and others, and not just what is taught in school. If Zimmerman was the POTUS then the New Black Panther would have been eradicated. He's just an ordinary citizen who doesn't have the luxury of having a Secret Service that is paid to protect him. The questions you have about why the New Black Panthers are allowed to put bounties on citizens are legitimate questions that maybe a policeman can shed light on as to why they have been allowed to do so. They definitely shouldn't be allowed to do that and I guess everyone is doing what I am trying to do.....ignore them and let them wallow in their insignificance.

In this day and time you can't ignore threats. Somebody may take them serious and do just what they asked, wanting their 10 min of glory. IMO it was a legit threat on TV and is being put on back burners because they are black.

 

If the KKK or some Militia group said that, then it would be all over the news and arrest being made for hate crimes.

Honestly, using the "Black Panther Party" as a touchpoint of outrage is very, very ridiculous. That's on par with citing George Lincoln Rockwell as a voice for white folks in America. Bobby Seale doesn't even take them seriously.
