April 6, 201214 yr Radio campaign next step against Rush Limbaugh - CBS News Nothing new here as far as people/entities going after Rush for his recent comments. Not the point of the thread. I'm not a fan but I support his right to say what he says AND the right for people to organize against him. To me, it's the American way and that's a good thing. We should all say that individuals and organizations have the right to campaign against a business. At the same time we should all say that people can hit back at companies that decide to pull their support ie the 50 or so that have bailed on Rush. It's one of my favorite aspects of American life. We get to make decisions and then we are forced to live with them. Even if the criticism is against a business you support you MUST support the right for all involved to take whatever action they deem best. God bless America.
April 6, 201214 yr I'm not a Rush fan but I'll always stand for his right to have his show in the manner in which he wants it. I choose not to listen to it. It's my right and I will use my rights.

April 7, 201214 yr How so? It goes too far by going against the very tenets of the constitutional amendment that allows those clowns (Rush and the Media Matters folks) to do their job. In other words, Media Matters stopped being journalists/watchdogs and turned into political activists. They should know better.

April 7, 201214 yr ^ As I said, they're even worse than Rush. If not worse, equally as bad. Given how few people even know what Media Matters is, I would disagree they could be any more harmful to the process than Rush, who has a massive audience.

They, too, run the risk of alienating people from coming to their site. The people running it started out as journalists, and started the organization in the journalistic watchdog spirit. They have foresaken their trade, however, in silencing crusades such as this. In other words, they forgot where they came from.
