You can think what you want, but why would I be so adamant about the improper use of power and authority by the Lexington police if I truly didn't know they were violating mine and other UK student's rights? Walking in a front door without being let in because of a call about loud music or something of that nature is a clear violation of rights, and that's how myself and others have gotten into trouble. I don't need a law degree to understand that. And no, not only do I not have any open cases, you wouldn't find a blemish on my record. Not even a speeding ticket. Keep trying, though.

So which is it? You've either "gotten in trouble" by cops walking in or your record is unblemished. You can't have it both ways. If your music is up loud violating a city ordinance, and the door is open and you aren't coming to the door, then I see no wrong doing by the cops. You're committing a crime by violating sound ordinances, so the cop has a job to do.

^I'm talking more along the lines of your unwavering eagerness to jump to the defense of law enforcement officers in every instance. Never once seen a situation on here where you didn't blindly defend the actions of the police.

I said his stories are biased. I've never given an actual law enforcement story, therefore I have no "biased stories." I simply pointed out your error. Please show me a story on here where law enforcement was punished and I defended them.

Think about it if you worked for Lexington Metro, student after student, year after year, problem after problem. Sure, its college kids being college kids but it is still a giant pain in the behind for the local police in any college town.

Especially since campus and the 'hood are probably the first place new recruits are assigned to cut their teeth?

I have mixed feelings on it former. I think you are signing up to be a police officer and then all of a sudden all the college life stuff consumes a lot of your time that would be better spent frying bigger fish and it gets frustrating. So... you drill them.

I went to Lexington on Friday night to watch the UK/IU game and the kids were for the most part well behaved. The police had a nice showing of support, but only one fight broke out at Two Keys. I think that was due to the over serving of the Fishbowls and John Wall shots.
