9th Region Champs, Boone Co 27-7 will take on the 14th Region Champs, Knott Co Central, 28-5. Your thoughts and predictions.

Sr laden Rebels take on the youthful KCC team. I'm going with Boone Co due to Sr leadership and excellent FT shooters.

Ditto!

Doesn't Knott have a 8th grader playing varsity?

I'll go with the Frosh of KCC and the senior leadership of Zach Davis.

Think you are thinking of Baxton Beverly that plays for Perry Co Central. They do have alot of Freshmen. One I have kept up with is Cameron Justice.

Justice is the kid I was thinking of.

I am looking forward to watching him play.

Camron Justice is the freshman guard for Knott Central that has had a great season. And he's a true freshman from what I understand, actually the same age as 8th grader Beverly from PCC, who I believe is a redshirt.

Knott Central has other quality players to compliment Justice, namely Zach Davis, a muscular guard/forward who is a good rebounder and can score the ball. Davis is a senior who provides leadership and experience. But overall the Patroits are a young team.

Knott Central has played a good schedule. They won the ihigh Fayette County Invitational in December with wins over Bryan Station, Muhlenberg County, Montgomery County, and Henry Clay, and they also won the WYMT Mountain Classic in January. If they play up to what they're capable of doing I think they can win their game over Boone County.

That is a pretty impressive resume for a youthful team.

Is there a such thing as a redshirt in high school?

:deadhorse: Many kids are held back during Middle School all over the state because they lack maturity. They just happen to be stud basketball players which is uncanny. LOL

I was going to go with Boone until I saw some of the notes about Knott County. It's a toss up now!!
