Yea it has been a little disappointing. Our boys have had a tough schedule right off the bat. When you loose a few games early it does get you down. I think it has been a great experience for the kids. We just didn't get in enough good practices before playing those teams. Our kids need to realize that you need to step up and help take the leadership role. When one does have a bad game. Go lift them up. Don't critize how one plays or how one coaches for that matter. It always comes back to bite you. Respect your coaches and do your best. If a coach tells you to play a position then you need to be ready to step up and play it. All you can do is your best. Yes we are in the All A next season and we do really need to work hard both on and off season to make this a stronger and better team. There is alot of talent coming up and on the team now.

Does anyone have any information about Coach Fowler? I certainly hope that he is the one to bring some consistency to the program. GO REBELS!

Yes, He is from Henry Co. N.C.K.C foe! Baseball and Basketball district! He was the principal's coach when she was in school.

Is it common practice to have someone from a district or conference school on your hiring committee for a new coach?

I think the principal's hands have been tied to hire a coach. No positions until recently. I think overall, she has done OK.

Head Coaching experience is a plus, but no always the best choice for a program. Someone who can bring energy and excitement and get kids involved is something we need in Owen Co. Bengal, You are right. The AD from Henry was on the committee. I whole heartedly disagreed with that choice. Why would he (a conference foe) want to pick a good coach for us. I'm not saying he is a bad guy or anything. I like coach Gilley. I agree that he will not ask someone from Owen to be on his next hiring committee.

Zach had a Sacrifice Bunt in the bottom of the fifth. I thought Zach was 3 for 3.

From what I can gather, Adam Fowler is an assistant at Shelby Co. That all I know about him.

Big win for Owen. Gallatin was without Maddox. Cox pitched 5 excellent innings for Owen. Ogden shut the door in the seventh.

Sorry about that...I hope to make it to Gallatin on Saturday. Didnt get to go see Michael pitch last nite, but heard he did well. Our guys needed that win last nite and now that our defense is coming together and our bats are turning we will see more wins. They played real well tonite. Happy to finally see Zach hit on out. Yes Bengal 15 they are a great bunch of kids. Not really for sure of our playing times on Saturday, but yeas they do play in the Slugfest.
