  3. I thought at Lynn Camp we might 1 to 3 players make it. 2 out of those three Anthony Walters and Josh Reynolds have made all state before, with Walters making it the last two years. Jimmy Chaffin is the top player in his district, and has won that honor, I thought he had a good shot too.
  4. St. X Lexington Catholic Russell Mayfield TB 44 pts
  5. South Laurel has a really good qb in Bowling, as does Williamsburg with Frazier. Daniel Pugh of Paintsville should be better next year too.
  6. If Paintsville was fortunate, than what were we at Lynn Camp playing Somerset 41 to 40, when Somerset didn't lead until the final 2 minutes of the game? Can't blame penalties on that game being close. I watched the Paintsville and Somerset game, and wished both teams would have played like that against us. Somerset ended up being the the top team in the region, but saying they were the class I don't agree with. This was a wide open region, that saw that saw all the big games in the region end with the home team on top. No there wasn't stand out in this region. Blaming a KID for a game and calling him overrated as player, is totally uncalled for. Since Somerset was having a bad day against Paintsville, I guess he wasn't, considering the way he played against Evarts and Lynn Camp. I would say that he was. It was said by someone else from Somerset they want a best of 7 series with NCC, first lets have a best of 7 series in region 4.
  7. Jonah Mitchell or Brandon Abner should be the qb next year, with Jonah most likely getting the nod. The key for Jonah is to make good fakes, and be able to make smart decisions will called upon, the good thing about LC offense is he will not throw much, Jonah can be a good qb, but expreince is what he is lacking. I think the defense will be pretty good next year, because a lot of the kids that will be playing played quite a bit. What the defense will need is a leader, because replaces Josh Reynolds, and Anthony Walters will not be easy. Depth is always a key for LC, and that won't change this up coming season. The coaching staff at LC does a good job at getting a lot kids in the game. Big reason we won the region in 2003 with 22 players was about 18 kids played.
  8. The one gets rumored about leaving every year since he was in 5th or 6th grade, and every year he is still at LC, that is a false rumor until he enrolls in another school, but don't get your hopes up.
  9. Do you have proof, because in case you didn't know it is against the rules to spread false rumors. You do nothing but get on threads that involve Lynn Camp to start trouble.
  10. Gee True Redhound with Lynn Camp being Lynn Camp, I wouldn't think any players that would possibly transfer to Corbin, would be good enough to play at Corbin anyway, so I don't know why you care.
  11. It was in the paper what Coach Mitchell said to the team at halftime.
  12. And maybe they couldn't get a source to speak on the record to confirm or not that they were moving or leaving or whatever. In this case, the paper had players speaking out by name, and if Whitley didn't want it to leak out they should have told the players to keep it quiet. Do you think that when someone like Joe Paterno steps down, don't you think it will be reported before it is official at a PC?
  13. I see nothing wrong with the article before he made it official. One job of the media is to get the news out first, and that is what the paper did. How many times do you see where other coaches getting hired or fired, or players get traded get reported before it is official?
  14. Sorry only Redhounds dig, and it looks like they didn't find a bone or two for that matter.
  15. Until someone from Region 4 steps up and beats the teams up North this will continue, maybe this is the year?
  16. Actually you quoted True Redhound, and he isn't sandbaggin, he is hoping for a bad year for LC. Catman thinks that LC is going to be good, going by the title of this thread. I agree with what your saying about LC. The o line will be very good next year, they lose one starter and Michael Hall will move in the spot that Rick May. The biggest thing LC loses up front is depth, but if the young lineman step up during the off season and spring practice, that could change. The backfield could be strong again, if LC gets someone to step up with Joe Roskopf. Chaffin and Reynolds are key loss, and you can't expect the production as this past season. Sidney Wagner, is capable of being a big time back next year, but he needs a great off season too. LC has 6 starters back on defense, but do lose key people on defense, like Josh Reynolds, and Anthony Walters. You can't expect anyone to step right in and play like they did, but what LC will need is to have someone step in and do a good enough job not to get you beat. Jimmy Chaffin, Nick Scalf, Rod Smith, and Nick Mills. The early non-district schedule will be tough, playing Leslie, Middlesboro, Whitley, and PCC. All will be tough, and I expect most of them to be better. The district will be better too, I look for Williamsburg Harlan, and Cumberland to be much improved, with Somerset the early favorite. A good off season is the key for how good LC will be next year.
  17. What is Coach Campbell going to do after this over? Is he staying at WC or is he moving on?
  18. Bardstown Bowling Green Newport Central Catholic Owensboro Catholic Russell Lexington Catholic St. Xavier Trinity 55
  19. How will playing a very good team on the road effect Somerset? So far the Jumpers have only played 4 road games. Carroll County(3-8), Harlan(5-6), Cumberland(5-5), and Pineville(3-7)
  20. Is Daniel Pugh hurt? I was a little shocked that he didn't run it more than he did. I think Deaton ran more than Pugh did.
