B-ville 78 Middlesboro 54 Pineville 65 Jackson Co 53 I hope Pineville wins the All A this year.

Sounds like Jackson did a good job at shutting down Dixon. LC had two very close wins over Jackson earlier this season, and its tough to beat a teams 3 times. LC hasn't played very well since they beat Knox Central, there still is a lot of the season left and hopefully they can turn it around.

Jackson County. From what I heard they beat Lynn Camp by double digits.

I agree Corbin deseves credit, they played with a lot of energy tonight. They showed a lot of heart of the 1st quarter battling back like that, if Corbin continues to play like that, they can make a run in the region, and maybe play South again for the title. These two teams could meet up two more times.

South looked flat. I have seen them play several times this year, and I have seen them play better.

Imo South didn't play very well. They didn't shoot the ball very good, and had a lot of shots rimmed out. Corbin got as close as 5 points but couldn't get it any closer. Crawford had a good game for Corbin I think he had 17.

This a matchup to determine a semi-final spot in the 13th region All A tourney. Lynn Camp has defeated Jackson County twice this year 66 to 64 and 71 to 68. This should be another close matchup. What are some thoughts on this game?

South 82 Corbin 50

Corbin should be improved, replacing Eric Blackwood will be tough, his abilty can be replaced somewhat, but speed is something that is tough to replace, and Blackwood has speed. With what Bell and Rock both have coming back they will be very hard games for Corbin, both teams have a great shot at the 3A title. South is down but has had Corbin's numbers the last few years, should be a great one. LCA lost a lot, but if there is a program to watch out for its LCA, they have made big strides and are well coached. Middlesboro only lost 3 seniors they should be a lot better. Imo if they cut down on turnovers this up coming year, they have a great shot making it to Louisville. The non-district is very tough for the Hounds and will get them ready for the playoffs. I would be very surprised if they drop a district game. With the playoff format this upcoming season, Corbin wins their district they get 4 home playoff games. I believe in the years that the format has fallen this way Corbin has made it to the semi-finals, and finals one year. Corbin is very tough at home in the playoffs, even the games they have lost at home have all been very close, and could have went Corbin's way. Good luck to the Hounds in 06.

I would like to see an expanded field to 16 games, and the tourney held at three sites. A western bracket at for example Knox Central. With Rockcastle, Somerset, Pulaski, South, Clay, Cawood, Barbourville, and Leslie Co. And an eastern bracket at Pikeville with Pikeville, PCC, Paintsville, South Floyd, Breathitt Co, Phelps, Prestonsburg and Knott County. Put them into brackets and the semi-finals and finals at KCC on WYMT. Two days to travel to Knott is not too bad, I could see where it could be tough for some teams to make that trip 3 times in one week. Of course if the tourney is moved to holiday break travel is not too much of an issue with no school. Just a thought.

Lynn Camp only shot 10 free throws? It seemed Whitley shot about 25 or 30, but like LC didn't shot well from the line. I would like to LC give Dixon more touches, imo each offensive possession Cody needs to touch the ball at least once. I thought LC put up more bad shots tonight, than I have seen in awhile, if they can just be a little more patient on the offensive end the better the results will be.

Pretty good win for LC after a slow start that saw them fall down by 8 to 10 points early. LC was able to bounce back, and build a double digit lead a couple of times in the second half, but had trouble putting away Whitley. Whitley shot lights in the second, hitting several 3 pointers, that gave Whitley a chance to tie up the game final minutes of the game, but LC held on. LC starts the All A next week, and hopefully they can make a run.

Big win for te Mt. Lions, the guys on the radio said it was Pineville's first win over Corbin in 33 years. Congrats to Pineville.

My mistake they didn't beat them in the late 90's, it was B-ville they beat. LC has lost some close games to Central in the last 7 or 8 years, but finally got over the hump tonight.

Lynn Camp played their best game of year. They played 4 quarters, and was able to maintain their focus. I could be wrong but I thought LC beat Central in the late 90's. Great win for the program, and something to build on. Hopefully it will carry over against B-ville.

I would like to know too. The little bit I do know is Cumberland was young last year, but I saw somewhere that Washington moved out of the area, if that is true that will hurt he is a good player. Evarts had a lot of key seniors, imo they will be rebuilding. Harlan should be better. They will be typical Harlan, big and physical and play some of the best defense in the mts.

Good win maybe an upset for Jackson County.

Lynn Camp didn't play real well tonight. The sceond half they couldn't hit anything. 3rd quarter is were the game was blown open. Pineville was up 4 at the half, and at the end of the thrid LC was down 20+ Pineville shot lights out in the second half. The Mt Lions are a good basketball team, maybe the most underrated team in the 13th. Their last two district games should be gone ones, and with the district tourney at Pineville, they have a great shot at winning it.

Joe Roskopf from Lynn Camp should have a huge year for LC. He finished with over 1000 yards, and close to 600 of them coming in the last 3 games. Sidney Wagner is another player who has been working hard this off season, and could have a breakout year at runningback. What will really help the young backfield for LC is a very good offensive line, which will see all the starters back but one. Lynn Camp was one of the top rushing teams in Class A this past year.

LC and Whitley are still playing. The last I heard, but don't know for sure, Whitley and Breathitt was a one year deal, don't know about the rest, like Shelby County.
