Congrats to Shawnee on their season.
If memory serves they had to forfeit maybe opening game or so due to # of players.
Good for them for sticking to it and with it. To the Coaches & most of all the kids.
I have always maintained it is "easy" to play for a X or T or M or H.
Your competing and playing for "something" every year.
These kids out there every day - just trying to win a game.
Hats off to them.
Just MVHO

Uncatchable is not a HS rule.
(Commonly confused
Don't know what you mean by a receiver out of bounds?
How did he get there?
Was that the reason for the call ?
1. Not calling you out - sorry if you took it that way.
2. I liked the info - was not aware. Nice factoid to know.
3. Do not know who you are - don't really care(don't mean that in a bad way)
4. Don't care for beer.

REally glad to see this one.
Of all of our District opponents ......................
As the gentleman said last week after B was 'crowing
upon beating J-town,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
"Next week they will get to see how it feels"
Karma ?
Boys let's not fight amongst ourselves.
God knows there are enough T-haters to go around.
1. Don't need to 'quarrel' with in
2. Don't need to supply more "ammo"
Just MVHO.
A F/G attempt which does not cross the goal line is a live ball and can be returned by Def - I believe.
If it goes out of bounds at the 1 foot line - Def. takes over there.
Gentlemen:
You all were absolutely correct - and I was in error.
I'm sorry to have "muddle up" the discussion.
Scrounged up a RB - and the Gentlemen was correct - Rule 9.7.
I must have been thinking of a loose ball on the ground.
Sorry it took me a few days to get back on here.
Good job.
I'll defer to you - but I think it would apply to a ball that was either in the air or on the ground.
If not teams would be doing the "tip ball play " all the time - short flat pass to a wide out who then "bats / tips" it forward to another teammate coming across a few yards downfield ?
So ?
And your point is ?
I believe there are some local Frosh & JV games where distance and time are involved. (i.e. Bullitt Co. teams vs. Oldham & Shelby Co. teams).
AS I understand the rule - try is good.
Had the ball hit a player and bounded over the crossbar - it would have been good- so what's the difference?
Being a part of the field does not equate to being same as the ground - IMVHO.
