I like Shelby County chances as well. Got a good draw. And if plays well could run deep into the Sweet 16. So we shall see.

Shelby by 4. I like Shelby's athleticism. Do not know much about Lincoln. Looks from there record they are playing very well down stretch. I like Shelby's schedule. Again Shelby by 4. 62-58

Shelby County has 14 trips to Sweet 16 this one is 15th. They are 2-0 when they play in the finals. 2-1 when play in semi finals. 11-4 in opening rd game. Won two state championships. One in 1966 and one in 1978.

No respect for Shelby County. Very athletic team, plays team ball. Could surprise some people.

Just got back from game. Shelby stole the game from Gallatin. Shelby down 2 with 12 secs left. Gall at line misses FT, Shelby comes down hits a shot and fouled on shot. Shelby hits FT with 6 secs. Gall races up court misses a three and Sheby wins. On to State for Shelby. GO ROCKETS

Shelby wins 71-62 waiting for the Gallatin VS No Oldham winner for the 8th region champ and a trip to sweet 16.

It could very well be Shelby and Anderson in finals. With both teams winning won over each. So best 2 out of 3.

Well, considering the cracker box of a gym holds only 1100. Yes it was packed.

Beating Anderson Co. 73-61. Shelby up through out the game. At times up 22. Anderson made a run came close at 5 or 6 at one point then Shelby hit clutch FT at end. Way to go Shelby.:ylsuper:

If I have a guess. It would be the coaching.

I was there. Shelby controlled much of the game. Up by as much as 20 points at one time. Highlands did cut lead to 7 but got no closer. I have posted before this Shelby team is a different team as past teams seem more me me me . This is more team effort and it shows. Highlands had a nice guard #32. He got 3 fouls by half and Shelby too advantage of it. Highlands has a nice team. But Shelby was better that night.

This team is very good. Team basketball is what I see. Very different from last years team when it was highly rated. But this years Shelby County team is for real. Unbeaten at 10-0. Had a very good win over a previous unbeaten team in Ft Thomas Highlands. Winning 70-52. Shelby has won two tourney's in the last two weeks. Oldham and Anderson maybe the favorites at start of season, but this Shelby team is a team to watch.

Shelby did control the game much of the way. Even at Oldhams pace of play. I'm very impressed with this Shelby team. They have the seniors Minnis,Mathews to go along with soph, in Beckley,Beach and others. They may not win the 8th. But tonight proved they can play with the predicted 8th favorite in Oldham.

In the semis of the Henry CO tourney. Shelby plays So Oldham Friday for the championship. Shelby is a sound good team. Better than last years and last years had more hype. This Shelby team more team ball not individual players.
