I wasn't there, but was told the deficit was at 7 with 3 to go. Shelby hit FTs to extend the lead at the end. McGraw may have made a difference.

Is McGraw hurt?

I was there. Shelby controlled much of the game. Up by as much as 20 points at one time. Highlands did cut lead to 7 but got no closer. I have posted before this Shelby team is a different team as past teams seem more me me me . This is more team effort and it shows. Highlands had a nice guard #32. He got 3 fouls by half and Shelby too advantage of it. Highlands has a nice team. But Shelby was better that night.

It was at 7 with three to go in the 3rd. Shelby led by 15 at half and Highlands cut the lead to 10 at the end of the 3rd. Shelby dominated the fourth as they did for much of the game.

Is anyone going to give us the scoop on McGraw?

Maybe Willie has him on a "pitch count" since he's coming off of an injury! (lol) Seems every couple of games or so McGraw is absent from the box scores. Are there even any juniors on the team??? Haven't seen any in the box scores...maybe they just take stats!

You may be right in regard to McGraw. Coming off a serious injury, back to back games may be too much at this point of the season. Good question?

Messer/Turner/Guidugli/Kellin-Smith but they might all be relegated to JV ball at this point.

Good move by Willie if he did rest McGraw. Winning the Shelby Co. tournament is not worth ruining one of your top players that you will need come March.

Didn't McGraw sit out both of the last 2 games?

Is he hurt or resting? Hopefully just resting and giving some Jr's...er, I mean Sophomores some PT.

Would it not be odd to rest him for 2 games in a tournament?

If you have a "win at all cost" mentality...then yes, it's odd. But I believe Willie knows that the season is just a warm up for what matters...the tourney! I applaud the "slow-safe approach he is taking with McGraw. Like all prized thoroughbreds (not the NCC kind! lol) he needs to be handled with kid gloves if HHS expects to be at the finish line come March!
