Logan Co. graduated several players off a team that had a good season compared to the past few years. They will still be the third team in the 13th district behind Franklin and Russellville. Coach Tackett seems to be doing a good job there, and Logan Co. is a program that has won a state title in the past.

Brian Hall always has his teams ready to play come tournament time.

New school, new coach, new team ! Dont know much about them. Word is several of Greenwoods top returning players are going to suit up for them including Cody Stumbo and Lane Embry both of whom started for Greenwood last year.

New coach in Russell Thompson who did well as an assistant with Pinevilles boys team and as head girls coach at Pineville

Monroe Co. had a good season last year as district 15 runner-up and played Russellville tight in the region tournament. They basically return everyone including all region guard Sr. Keaton Rich and Sr. twins Caleb and Cody Sheffield. They are also well coached by Steve Kirkpatrick.

Lost alot in the graduation loss of schools leading scorer Derek Peyton. Coach Trevis Upchurch always has his guys playing hard and improving as the season goes along.

When was Menifee Counties last region tournament appearance? 06?

Should have best team since 2000-2001 season when they won the 16th district and made the region tournament semi-finals. They return twin brothers Russell and Grant Kindred who are both 6'7 and small college prospects as seniors. They also return both Guards in Jones and Harris. And as always they are well coached by Tim Mcmurtrey who always does well and knows how to win. The 4th region will be down to what it has been in a few years with the exception of Warren Central and Bowling Green and it wouldnt suprise me to see Metcalfe back in a region tournament semi-final game again this season.

Dont know if Coach Messer would leave, I heard he is an administrator at an alternative school. He would probably have to take a pay cut if he leaves and goes somewhere else, he might even have to back into the classroom.

Mike Stubblefield current assistant at Holmes would be a great fit, he was former head coach in Tenn. and knows the program and knows how it is ran on a day to day basis.

I know for a fact Pittman's antics in 9th region final kept him from being on the team.

82-73, good game Cumberland took a 3 pt. lead at halftime, Beechwood turned up the "juice" in second half Cumberland tied it in 4th but Beechwood made free throws to seal it

The Rebels have a new coach and return a really quick guard in Robert Sargent, they play in a difficult district with Franklin Simpson and Russelville so it usually tough for them.

I know they have a REALLY good player in senior Derrik Peyton, he has been in the top 10 in the state the past few seasons for rebounding and scoring.

Monroe has a new coach in Steve Kirkpatrick who was formerly an assistant at Monroe Co. and Metcalfe Co. They return some quality players in the Sheffield brothers, Cody and Caleb as well as Keaton Rich at the point. They play in a very difficult district with Barren, Allen, and Glasgow.

Metcalfe returns their whole team form last season, hopes are high in Edmonton. They are coached by Tim Mcmurtrey who is always a tough guy to prepare for. Their district will be tough with Clinton, Cumberland, and Russell Co. Metcalfe will rely on twin juniors Russell and Grant Kindred who are 6"8 ans sr. guard Trevor Meredith a 2 year starter.

I spoke with an assistant coach at North Hardin, the school and community are devastated by the loss, really seemed to be a great kid !!!!!!

The Wildcats are on a upswing, the program is heading in the right direciton !! To qoute the old Menifee Cheer, "Menifee Green, Menifee White, Menifee, Menifee, fight, fight, fight" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Solid week of camp, Cosby from Louisville and Cameron Hall from Glasgow looked good.

I watched Josh Hall at Blue-Chip this week, he really plays hard and took ball strong to the bucket.
