What does Johnson Central need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Johnson Central will be need to find someone to replace the points and rebounding of Ian Welch this coming season. I think they have to find someone that can consistantly hit the outside shot.

I ve heard McKenzie is on hot seat, any truth to that?

 

How good is the 8th grader Shane Hall going to be. I've heard really good from a middle school coach in a surrounding county. Possibly D1

No one knows how good he is because he hasn't stopped growing and is still inconsistent.

 

 

He was very, very good at the 7th grade level, and very good at the 8th, but nothing that shouts D1 at the moment.......let the kid develop then worry about it.

I watched Josh Hall at Blue-Chip this week, he really plays hard and took ball strong to the bucket.

My understanding is that Hall is going to stay back again. My question to the parents would be, why wouldn't you want your child to play on the high school level if he is as good as advertised instead of playing against kids that you are bigger and stronger than because you are older than them. If he stays at the middle school, the middle school administration will not allow him to play at the high school.

He will not be staying back. If he can get real minutes at the high school then that is where he will be. If he is going to sit on the bench then he won't be there. His dad wants him at the high school but it is not his choice (obvioulsy).

I would think there is minutes to be had on the high school team. I wouldn't think there is a starting role for him. But with the loss of a few key players last year and watching the JV play some, I would think there is playing time for him. He will have a bigger adjustment on the h.s. level because of the physical part of it. Anyone that has watched H.S. basketball in the 15th the last 4 or 5 years knows it is a very physical game and I think Hall will really need to work on his strength.

Any other good young players coming up in the next couple of years capable of getting minutes on the Varsity.
