  1. Ok if it's who I'm thinking of, I was impressed with him because I hadn't heard a lot about him. He works hard under the basket and finishes well after contact. I would think he led them in scoring, but that is just my guess. Might have even been close to a double-double, but again, I could be totally off.
  2. I was at the game. Terry is going to be a special player, I assume that is one of the freshman you are talking about. Who is the other? Probably better include a number.
  3. I dont think anyone predicted any team in the 16th to be able to play within 20 points of Elliott. This shows that they might be the slightest bit vulnerable, but I still like their chances.
  4. Thanks. He's got good size, what grade is he in?
  5. Is Collin Kennedy a transfer student from East Carter? I dont remember him playing in the scrimmage game between these 2.
  6. Lewis Co. played poorly in every aspect of the game. Give credit to Rose Hill, they took care of the ball and made free throws. Nice win for the Royals.
  7. I love watching this kid play. Theres not too many players who can pull up from 25' and hit consistently. I will continue to watch him play no matter where he goes to school.
  8. I dont see Mason being able to keep this one close. Scott can get scoring from many different players where with Mason, if Russ isnt scoring theyre going to have trouble putting up points. I say Scott wins by 24.
  9. I think youre right. It was just before Christmas that he got win #100.
  10. Coach Hampton got his 100th win earlier in a season in the Bracken Tourney I believe. This is win 101 or 102. But congrats anyways.
  11. It's been said they have a week schedule. Maybe someone else has heard this too?
  12. You can say the same thing about Lewis Co. IMO they didnt give any effort the 2nd half. Even when your not making shots and turning the ball over, you can still play hard defense and I didnt think they did that yesterday. In the absence of Thompson, they need someone other than Koty Riley and Terrence Smith to step up and play a big game.
  13. He didnt play yesterday, but I think he is expected to be back in town sometime this week.
  14. No. Idk when he will be back, would expect him to return pretty soon.
  15. You must have not seen Sanford play in the state tourney last year. I havent seen him play yet this year but im looking forward to watching him. After the state tourney last year, I thought he was a top 3 player in the state and still think he is.
  16. Ive always understood an assist to be a player scores on a pass and takes 2 dribbles or less. It doesnt matter how many defenders are on him, where he is at on the floor, or where the pass is made from. A pass is made, 2 dribbles or less is taken, and the player scores, the passer is awarded an assist (just my understanding of an assist).
  17. Their last 2 wins have been without their starting center who is visiting his family over the break. Im not saying Lewis Co. can beat Elliott Co., but I do believe when playing well they have the ability to compete with almost any other team in the 16th.
  18. I agree. Stenzel has the ability to take over any game he plays in. He handles the ball very well for a 6'4" sophomore and can really stroke it. However, I think Zollo will be a very good player as he continues to get stronger and becomes better handling the ball. As for Chris, I was told he was the 2nd ranked freshman in the state of Ky. Idk how much truth there is to that, but with his ability to handle the ball and get to the rim, he could very well be. I would be shocked if he doesnt go D1 as he continues develop a shot and become taller and stronger.
  19. I was thinking he had right around 10 points with 4 or 5 assists and 3 or 4 rebounds. He could have had many more assists had his teammates not missed layups. I thought that was what cost Trinity, the number of layups they missed.
  20. I set about 5 rows behind Chris last night. I enjoyed watching little Chris play, but agree that his shot selection hurt his team. If he realizes that he can get by any player on the floor and shoot those 5-8 footers he shoots instead of pulling up from 22 feet out of rhythm, he will be impossible to guard. Take the 3 when your coming off screens or dribbling the ball in rhythm, but not as the first look down the floor. Really look forward to watching him progress within the next 3 & 1/2 years.
  21. Lewis Co. has been playing well. They really struggled to score early in the game and got beat to lose balls and got out-rebounded. They came out the 2nd half and turned up the intensity. Smith played well along with Cropper. Riley had trouble with Flemings physicallity early but was able to play really good later in the game.
  22. Are these games at Lex Caths gym or are they just hosted by Lex Cath and held at another gym?
  23. He traveled back to South Carolina to see his family. Im not sure when he will be back, but his size would have made a big difference.
  24. How tall would you say Harrison is? I havent seen him for a couple of years, for the last time I seen him play he was 5' (guesstimate), pulling up and draining from 25 feet in the 6th grade against 16th region freshman teams.
  25. If Harrison Co. were able to limit to's they would have probably won by 10+ but they made to many stupid passes. Lewis Co. didnt do a very good job taking care of the ball either but they did a good job making free throws down the stretch.
