Sounded like West gave a valiant effort. Congrats to East on advancing and to West for having a very nice season!

A season that seemed to last an eternity has finally come to an end for the Devils. Hats off to you boys, for hanging in there and giving it your all. Keep your heads up, and remember, well nevermind, don't remember anything from this year...forget it all, and start from scratch next year as if this were only a bad dream. To the seniors, don't forget...you got to do something many, many players from Russell only dreamed of doing by playin on the floor that Rupp built. You are a great group of guys, and it's been a pleasure watching you guys grow into the young men you are!

I had a feeling about this game (ie check my posts). West is a team that is a tough out and they are dangerous when they are hot!

Who cares? I'm just glad that one of these teams will be out of the mix after the game! Had to prove you rightunderthebridge. By the way, I'm just kidding. I take my daughter to the state tourney every year, and we've really enjoyed getting to watch both teams play the last few years! Even if they are private schools ;-) Sounds like this year either team will be lucky to get there!

28-7 at the half, Lewis outscored the Lady Devils 22-0 in the 2nd quarter! Great 2nd half from the whole team, but Samantha Sparks was not to be denied!!! Also, great play from Parsley, who really stepped it up, and Simpson who played with determination and intensity that was much needed! Great win!!!

Nice win for West! Can they finally put some games together and make it out of their district?!! VERY CAPABLE!

This after some Kitten fans were warming up the bus for Diddle. Disappointing loss however Bradley will have them ready for what lies ahead. This may be good for Ashland...a little wake-up call if you will!

Not a great game for the Lady Devils, however hopefully we can put it all behind us and get on a roll in the tourney!

As bad as Ashland has played, the team and it's coaching staf still seem to be upbeat heading into the tourney!

As I was watching the Elliott/Ashland game at The Furnace, I was wondering if things weren't quite as they seem in Sandy Hook. Ms, are you hinting to just a bit of anomosity amongst the team? I thought I saw just a bit of resentment in one of the players as he was subbed for late in the game (by Ferguson I believe), and this player walked, slowly I might add, from one end of the floor to the end of the bench. Could be a total misread, but I just had a hunch!

Does it really matter who the best is? It's hard to believe the politics that play into the ratings of these officials! You could be an outstanding official, but if you aren't part of the good ole boys group, you'll NOT make the top 5 in the 16th!!

I was thinking about this just the other day Shooter! How much has this Mason team improved!!???

Very nice to hear that this happens. I am 100% for prayer anywhere. Just curious though, if Raceland were to get some students who believed in something other than what the majority believes in, will they continue to pray? This would be interesting to see.

Holmes is not 100%, however she is back!

Russell shot 34% and had at one point had the lead in the 4th...Russell too could play a better game!

It will be an uphill battle for PCC to make it back to Diddle the way they're playing right now.

I would love to see another Ashland-Russell game...in the finals of the region!!!

She is a talented young lady no doubt. Take her out of the mix and Ashland is just a bit more beatable. They still have a nice supporting cast even is she doesn't play...some big ones down low!
