Wow, I didn't think they scored that many off turnovers!? Surely those weren't all transition points. They only had 33 and I don't remember Morgan shooting that many quick shots off turnovers!

You're a real Swami Wireman! Only tough pick was Morgan, and when you think about it they were probably the slight favorite seeing how they were district champs vs a runner-up:rolleyes:

I saw a level of intensity from Eagle tonight that I didn't see in our regular season matchup. She is a special player and the most athletic girl in the region by far! Not to mention that sweet jumper. We just couldn't capitalize when she was on the bench with foul trouble! Has to be a gym rat and/or play against the boys often!!!

Heartbreaker for the Lady Devils tonight! Great effort by Pookie Sparks and Kat Holmes in their last game in maroon and white (on the court anyway)! Keep your heads up ladies, you left it all on the court! Pook - there was noone in the gym who I would have rather had shooting those free throws!!! You have always been, and still are, one of the all time clutch performers in both basketball and softball, to ever put on a Lady Devil uniform...I look forward to watching you crush the ball this spring! Kat, it's been a hard road for you with injuries all throughout your career, but you hung in there and contributed in so many ways to this team. You are a fine young lady with great character and heart!! I consider my daughter blessed to have played with two awesome kids and two great teammates! You will be dearly missed next year!!!

Not typifying, just stating facts. It's not a secret that that particular player has problems managing anger from time to time. I said it's all good though, meaning no hard feelings, it was just a bit much. In fact, I would love to see some of our team get some of that fight and attitude. I've always said the best players all have something in common....a mean streak!!!

How true Ram. It's unfortunate how basketball has become a contact sport, but you are so right...if you don't like how the game is, don't play. That being said, throwing a ball towards someone after you knock them down is a bit much. It's all good though.

That was your interpretation and opinion. From where I was watching, there were a couple of shots taken right before this, while scurrying for a loose ball!! Either way though, retaliation isn't necessary, but often a part of the game. It would be hard not to do something back to someone who was throwing bows in a pile.

Actually the player you are talking about threw the ball down towards the player she had just knocked down. Typical of this player and not a surprise.

Not sure getting beat in an invitational compares with beating someone out in the district. Great thread though!

Russell will be fired up for this one as they try to bring the district crown back to it's home;) Should be a dandy though, these teams are very close in every position. Look for an unsung to come up big in this one (not necessarily mine either Billy:sssh:!) Good (and bad) to see Vanderhoof playing...GREAT kid!

Boyles comes in to save the day with 4 very crucial free throws after sitting the bench for 4 and 1/2 minutes in the fourth (foul trouble).

Tough loss for the Panthers. Are they finished?

I love the blind draw for districts, but I also love dawgs. Also, seeding for the regional tournament should never happen. This makes things more interesting for the teams who really don't have a chance otherwise!
