Well, I know for a fact that Timmy was at Sandy Hook Elementary in the 5th grade, so I'd say that's pretty early in the game.

Actually not all players block shots the same at all.

Why does something like this need to be brought into this particular thread? I think this is a tremendous story and its ashame that everyone can't celebrate these kids.

I think its pretty clear that if you have longer arms and a longer wingspan, that its easier to block shots. If Yao Ming's arms were 4" longer, I'd be more than happy to say that he could block shots like a 7'9" player. Does that clear things up for you?

Its not tough to say that if you were actually there. Elliott had dead legs and it was very apparent. They also had no gameplan in place whatsoever to attack the SV defense. Once they got things figured out, they won the rest of the game, but it was too deep of a hole to recover from (16-3). I think Mays learned a few lessons in the All A games and he has the team playing great heading into tournament time.

I'm not sure how much more recognition Elliott can get. They have had features in USA Today, the Lexington Herald Leader, the Courier Journal, and the Daily Independent. Joe B. Hall called them his favorite team ever. I think they're getting plenty of recognition. That being said, those out of state teams were no slouches.

Based on the decision to spend all of Elliott's legs in the two games before SV and based on not having an appropriate gameplan in place to start the game against SV. If these two were to somehow meet again, I think Elliott would win by 10 or more points.

The most overlooked thing I've noticed about Timmy Knipp is how long his arms are. He extends out and plays alot taller than he is. He blocks shots like a 6'10" player.

Mason County is still 12 and 15 in the 2 polls, so that is still a good win for Elliott. I personally think that Elliott County has 7 very quality wins and a loss to Shelby Valley that should've been a win. By 7 quality wins, I mean its is my opinion that they are 7-1 versus teams that are or would be top 20 teams in this state.

Rankings are all about what you've done for me lately. Elliott got it done last week and Holmes didn't.

I'd bump Elliott up to 2 and leave the rest along, but this one looks a little better than Cantrell's.

I personally would probably go: 1. Scott County 2. Elliott County 3. Holmes 4. Shelby Valley 5. Eastern

Morgan is really looking like a top 5 team in the region, IMO.

I think Elliott would win a rematch with Shelby Valley, but that's JMO. I certainly agree that trying to run with Elliott is a big no-no.

I'm an Elliott fan (especially after tonight) and I honestly thought 2-1 for the week, but, I expected a loss against Mason.
