I know they are a great team but I have heard that it's pretty much the starting five and then a pretty hefty drop off. I know most of the players names but I was just wondering what were the sizes of the starters for the Lions?

Timmy Knipp is probably 6-6 or 6-7, the rest are in the 6-0 to 6-2 range. Not for sure. Evan Faulkner is probably about 6-2, but I've seen him guard post players like he was 6-8. Ethan Faulkner, Ferguson, and Chris Knipp all play taller than they are as well. They won't kill you with size, but they would really surprise you once the game starts. As for the bench the first 2 or 3 aren't bad at all, don't know about the rest haven't seen them that much. Hope this helps.

Watching the warm-ups Ballard put on a dunking exhibition and won the warm-ups in a landslide. Somebody who watches the warm-ups against a team like Ballard, Holmes, Scott County, or Shelby Valley and you think these guys are going to get creamed. Take Timmy Knipp out and they are just a bunch of 6'1" guards. In their case though looks are very deceiving. But they know how to play the game and play together. They get rebounds maybe they shouldn't get. They drive to the basket and score on people they maybe shouldn't score over. They shoot fall aways and off balance double pump shots because they sometimes have to and the ball goes in with amazing accuracy. They play the game the way it should be played and defy all the odds. Of course it helps when you have five guys who can drill them from anywhere on the court and shooting and scoring is why they keep the score. But they also can rebound, pass, defend all over and just really get on your nerves before the night is over. Joe B. has seen some basketball in 80 years and he knows teams when he sees one. They will go down as one of the all time most fun teams to watch regardless of what happens in March.

I've watched a lot of basketball over my 40+ years (a lady never tells her age ) and I can tell you this . . . yes . . . most of our boys fall into the 6'1" to 6'7" range, but their hearts add about a foot to each of them. I've never seen a group of boys play as hard and fast as these do. So . . . as the ol' saying goes . . . don't judge a book by it's cover because . . . you just might get more than you bargained for!:ylsuper:

Great post. As I watched their dunking talents and seen how athletic they were I got a little worried. When our boys came out and were shooting threes for warm-ups and Ballard was still dunking, I started thinking dunking not going to win this game for Ballard and of course it didnt.
