That is pretty far fetched. I have seen Male play about 4 times this year with Heyman. They were not and for sure now are not close to Ballard. Ballard beats you up and down the court the whole game. They have so many weapons that they beat you with. Very talented and well coached team. Doss was the suprise of the tourney by knocking off J'Town and Warren Central. The Brooks kid is the real deal.

You are correct. I just joined this site right at the end of the football playoffs. So the next sport to roll around was basketball. I noticed not alot of people from Lousville posted on here in the basketball forum. I was just trying to figure out why that was or why Louisville high schools were not talked about as much as say Mason Co., Rose Hill, etc. just to name a few.

I seldomly see anyone get on here and post and talk about Louisville high school teams. Is it because most the people on this board live in different counties and dont know a whole lot about the Louisville teams? Is it because Louisville has a very good crop of players and teams and the counties just dont want to give them any props? I am just curious on what you guys think. Not trying to start nothing.

Lavell Boyd Doss High/UofL was on the 64 man roster for the Bengals a couple of years ago. Issac Sowells Doss High/Indiana U. is presently on the Cleveland Browns roster

I will start by saying that Male and Ballard will make it to the finals just like KOB, in my opinion. Unless a strong J'Town team pulls out a victory from Ballard but look for Male to win the lower bracket with only maybe Warren Central being close to them.

Ok I will lay it out here like I did in an earlier post. The coaches have Brooks around the free throw line trying something like a high-low offense and when he's not around there he is out around the wings of the 3pt line. Doss actually has another kid in Tony Brown who is about 6-4" or 6-5" and has a nice turnaround hook shot either way. He is physical and they need to have him and Brooks down on the low post with Anderson handling the rock and making all the decisions. The have a nice bench to help them as well. Doss will beat Caldwell Co. and then run into a buzz saw in J'Town who just beat them on 1/6 by 11pts. The LIT is loaded with talented teams and my prediction is that Male and Ballard will have a rematch of the finals of the KOB.

The Eastern team in '98 that averaged almost 90pts a game and won the state title would definitely give HH a game.

Anyone know where or if there is an LIT Boys bracket for next week?

Doug Beaumont Steffphon Pettigrew Jeff Brooks Darius Miller Preston Knowles If you are just going by this year and this year only. You HAVE to put Doug Beaumont on your first team. I mean Mr.Everything has taken Male to a 2nd place finish at the KOB which he was on the all-tourney team. Then Led his team to the 5/3 championship and MVP honors there. I got to give a nod to him on my first team.

Saw him out at a local Gentlemen's Establishment a couple of months back and he said him and Tony Williams were still playing together over there and that they were having a pretty good time. He was only at Doss for his Junior and Senior years but when he stepped on the floor you kinda knew something exciting was gonna happen.

Thats why Doss has lokk as many games as they have so far is because Brooks doesnt get enough touches. IMO he should touch they ball every offensive set. He has a great mid-range jumper and can take it to the hole, but he needs to be down on the blocks along with Tony Brown and banging the boards. Davin Anderson is on of the best guards in the state and can get him the ball most of the time. Now im not sure but I think Anderson is a little on the selfish side. Hopefully since its a new year that this team will gel together and the coaches will find a way to get the ball to Brooks more.

WOW!!!!! Nice tune-up game Doss. I shall be up there tomorrow for what should be a pretty good game between Doss and CovCath.

Ballard IMO should be #2 right now after winning the KOB and maybe Mason Co. at #3. Ballard is too deep and too quick for mason Co. Just m opinion
