  1. Scooter, no matter how hard you try, I really don't think your gonna get him to talk.
  2. It is very nice. But throughout the season the bermuda takes a beating. Especially near the end of the season once it gets cold and wet. At one point this past season they were going to have a helicopter hover over the field in an attempt to dry it, it was so sloppy. They decided against it so the game was postponed till the next day and the field was still a mess. That's when the talk of field turf became more serious. I love the natural surface at Putnam, but IMO field turf is where it's at. I expect that in 10 years, most schools will have it. Another thing is that Putnam gets painted before every game, where field turf would likely only have to be painted once a season. I know paint isn't that expensive, but it would still be money saved in the long run.
  3. I hear it may be in Ashland's not so distant future also.
  4. There ya go, fixed that right up for ya.
  5. Walk? If they had a ride, they would be riding.
  6. I've been trying to decide who you remind me of the most. Lou Holtz or Digger Phelps. :sssh:
  7. I didn't see a 1 or a 5 anywhere in his prediction?
  8. As expected, scooterbob swoops in attempting to take something away from an Ashland win.
  9. TCats are coming on strong.. :sssh:
  10. It has never been posted on here. You would have to PM someone who knows I suppose. However, I am not that person.
  11. Oak Hill plays zero defense. IMO, HHS is the best team I have seen so far.
  12. Patterson already took his official visit to UK. UK had no part in HHS being at the game.
  13. What would be considered a better game? Keeping the margin under 30? Under 20? If your asking will it be a close game, my answer is no. It'll be hard to guage either way. I'll take HHS by 30 in that one too. However it all just depends on how hard they play. It seems they toy with teams a lot, letting them get within 12-15, then they just blow it wide open to a 30 point margin again.
  14. Correct.. Which is the problem I see in recruiting one and done players, now that the new rule is in place.
  15. I wonder how many one and done players leave the school in good academic standing? :sssh:
  16. Coaches don't have control over a kid transfering to another school either. However to my knowledge, with the new rule schools can be penalized for having to many kids transfter out, too. However a coach has no more control over a player doing that than they do a player going to the league.
  17. I don't know all the specifics of the rule. But lets say a kid doesn't go to some of his classes and is failing most of them, because he know's he's going to he league in a year and doesn't care. Does the rule apply then? Or are kids that can leave and go to the league in a year not subject to the same academic standards that the other players are?
  18. I stated earlier in the thread that UC's problem wasn't the one and done players. I was just using them as an example in relation to the new rule, since they are the only school I have heard of losing a scholly due to it, thus far.
  19. Sure, he was there to see OJ play, among others. But just because an assistant coach goes to scout a kid, doesn't mean they're heavily recruiting him. They watch a lot of kids play that they have little or no interest in. Reggie was also there to see Dawson, whom was a senior during OJ's 7th grade season. From what Reggie told a member of my family, UK was prepared to ask Dawson to walk on for a season and have an opportunity to play his way into a schollarship the following season. But alas, his test scores were not high enough to get in. How many times did you see UK recruiters at RH games after Dawson left? The answer will likely be none.
  20. They will, once they start losing scholly's due to players not finishing school. The NCAA penalizes schools for such things now. UC is an example of that.
  21. I don't think UK had little interest in him, I KNOW they had very little interest in him.. They knew (along with everyone else) that he is most likely a one and done player.. That's not what UK, or anyone else for that matter, is looking for these days.
  22. I think that was Patterson's attempt at humoring the media. I don't think he actually meant anything with it. He even laughed as he said it.
  23. Actually, $$$ seems to be the #1 priority in these cases. How often did you see Lebron sit the bench when his team was up by 30 playing on national tv?
  24. I really don't think Mayo is THAT player.. Yes, he knows he IS the show, so he does make sure he puts one on for the fans. However I believe he sincerely does want his teamates to excell, and even steal his spotlight from time to time. He's a big part of the reason that HHS will have 6 kids play D1 ball next season. I do agree with you that we don't need another guard right now, but I honestly do not believe OJ is a selfish player at all. He's always looking to pass. In fact, I could see it becoming a problem for him at the next level at times. A lot of times he will drive the lane and once he is double/tripple teamed he leaves his feet, however he's usually not looking to shoot, he's looking to pass. It's about the only downfall to his game that I see.
