Are there any High Schools starting up Volleyball this year. I heard a rumor that Owen County might.

Jacklyn Lowe from Carroll County will be playing Volleyball at Berea and walking on the Basketball team. She has been recovering from an ACL injury and is hoping that she will be able to run at 100% by then. She will join her sister Jenna who is a stand-out on the Berea basketball team.

I like Williamstown also, I like Carroll's mix next year also. They had a strong MS team and won the Freshman District and were runners-up in the JV with 2 8th and a 7th grader starting those teams. Owen will have an advantage with their size in the middle. Could be anyone!

I guess I am just judging by what I saw at the regional..South had no Seniors and played very tough.. Could be Simon though, I guess we have to see how they develop.

My point is that UK fans would not have been happy with either one. I follow both teams and I do not think either had banner years..Many UL fans would agree. If you want Rick's record then be a UL fan, I do not like how either team did this year and would not say that Rick is a superior coach to Tubby based on a comparison of these season. They both were bad. Why do UK fans see good in everything Rick does? They both fell short of expectations, Ricks looks stronger coming off a a NIT year.

The point of my response is that Rick was probably not considered but would have like to have been considered. I personnally would not have been satisfied if UK had the year UL did. After all they lost to their arch rival and were beat by UMass...thought they were going to the NIT and then pulled it together late in the season. UK would have been just as unhappy as we are today.!

That is the BGP wish list, not the UK hiring committee. UK fans would not be happy if they had a year like Louisville did. At least we beat UL..

I think Pitino would have liked to have been considered for the job, but surely he was not even on the list. As for his comments, UK fans know by now that most coaches are not truthful about their intentions. Louisville just went through that with football. To me, every coach that says he is not interested wants UK to be interested in them.

In the 8th region I would have to bet that either South Oldham ( they had no seniors this year) or Anderson County (all 5 starters return) Everyone else seems to be hit hard by graduation.

I think WV will be a good team next year, I just hope they can adjust to the new coaching style. Carroll needs to work hard in the summer, the best thing about next year is all the teams are young and on any given night anyone can win.. Owen has a good crew back as well as GC with some young talented girls. Trimble's Miller will be a tough match-up due to size for any of the teams. It will be an exciting year, hopefully they will all play summer ball this year.

Is there a deadline or time frame for hiring a Coach? I saw spring practice and it looked like we had a good bunch of kids. I just do not want any of them to lose interest because we do not have a coach.

Actually, Saint..I agree, I thought the UL fans were very unfair but some of them had good points about the way their year was going.

Obviously you were not on their message boards all season, I was and they were screaming for his head.! In the end that was not fair but it is true. The AD even defended him due to mounting pressure. As I said, UK fans would not have been happy either I liked Tubby and I wish he had not left, but given the chance to get someone new we should go with the best fit for UK!

UKPAT - Would you really have been happy with the same record UL had in the last 2 years? As a UK fan I would not, and as a UL fan I was not happy until the very end and hoping to look forward to next year. Bottom line is UK needs new blood and a young up and coming coach!

Until the last several weeks of the season the UL fans wanted him to be fired. I was feeling sorry for Pitino. Good thing Sosa came around or he would have been in the NIT. Really if UK had UL's record we would have wanted Pitino fired also.. look forward not back!

I do not want Pitino, I was glad when he left. Louisville had a worse year than UK and a NIT the year before. I want real coaching talent not a me, me, me person like Rick. I am sure that Rick wants to be asked because that is what makes him thrive. I have not seen anyone pursuing Pitino based on his current coaching skills and surely UK will not!

I liked Tubby and I am believe that our program will take 2 years to recover. We will lose some of our current players in the fall-out and we do not have a big recruting class coming in. In 2 years we may be glad that a change was made but I like the class and coaching techniques that Tubby brings to the game and also wish that assistants were changed and Tubby stayed.

Is there a link that shows who was on each team. There has been a lot of discussion about who was not but I am looking to see the complete rosters. Thanks

Does anyone know of a place to go where you can find what are good times for track events. My child just started Track and she wants some numbers to shoot for. I have no idea.

This is new to me..I did not hear that the current Football coach was not coming back!
