Sounds like it was called pretty tight! Were these our normal 8th region refs? I have not seen Oldham play so I do not know if they are real physical inside or if the Ref's just called calls on the biggest player. I have seen that happen!

There is a team in our region that the girls are instructed that when the ref is standing on the side line to inbounds the ball always go out there, even if you know it is the other teams possession. This has resulted in the ball going to their team numerous times if the ref is not paying attention, sometimes the fans and other coach get vocal enough that they will correct it. It is at the Middle School level so many times the refs are inexperienced and will not reverse the possesion. So what are we exactly teaching our children...............

I agree Buttels...Those 2 teams battle hard and I have not seen all of the GC players on the floor at the same time ..all healthy. Owen has some dangerous guards Cochran and Green that you really have to play tight defense on, but I think Amanda can handle Williams in the Post. I am still sore at Owen for playing a Varsity starter in the JV tournament, but I need to just let that go... I will miss this game but I am sure the rest of my family will attend.. Good Luck

I agree TB&G It is classless and uncalled for. I would not like it if our fans did it to the Demons, the Wildcats or the Lady Raiders. It is not the right way to be a fan.. Allknower: Make sure that you understand the post before you respond unfairly to the people on the thread.

On paper you are right about Walton vs Grant and I would have to agree with you, However I have seen flashes of brilliance from Walton on occasion, so I would not write them off totally. They really have not come together the way they should have as a team Gallatin/Owen have gone back and forth all year, I think it will come down to who is healthy..

Sorry to hear that on Senior night, I do not mind jabbing at the refs or yelling for your own team, but we should all draw the line at heckling or putting down the other teams players. They are kids after all, and all of them work hard, CC has had a lot of this this year directed at our Senior, and I think it is classless also. Usually it is not the kids on the floor they seem to respect and like each other. It seems to be the fans...maybe they should take a lesson from the girls on the floor.

I saw this thread on the Boys side. Who does everyone think will make it to the regional tournaments. Here is what I think will happen in the 8th. 29th South Oldham / Trimble 30th Shelby / Anderson 31st Carroll / Gallatin or Owen (too close to call) 32nd Simon / Grant Any one disagree or have a better take on this..especially in the 32nd.. Walton has Garcia out with an injury but if she is back it could change the outcome.

Hey...Buttels asked for predictions.. I like those Wildcats, they have had a lot of injuries this season and have still managed to have a lot of W's in their column. I do however feel for the Demons a little, they are so young and play so hard! If only everyone could win.....................................

I will take Grant in this one, however if Green gets hot for Owen they can really put the points on the board. Owen has some nice guards and they will match up well with Grants. They both have a very strong center also. This will be a good game! Congratulations to the Seniors of Grant and Good Luck to both teams! I saw that Garnett has a scholarship, what about Billiter?

Senior night! A very emotional night for Carroll. I think this will motivate them to win big.

Our JV was pumped since it is 2 - 8th graders and a 7th grader that start and play! They thought the Grant girls were tough defensively! I enjoyed your Fresh coach he was very colorful! Good luck

Actually I think it is Walton that is inconsistent, not Henry. They have really not had the year that I expected this year.
