Congrats to the Lady Raiders! Good job!

It took the entire 1st half for CC to figure out how they call fouls in Indiana that put the girls in foul trouble. I thought they did a great job getting it together in the second half. They will continue to get better and really look strong at this point. Southwestern probably shot 25 - 30 free throws. Good game to all!

You are right. Did they cancel this game or something? I think that one will be too close to call.

Way to go Panthers... Panthers got in foul trouble first half but maintained in the second. Trimble is pretty scrappy and will surprise some teams this year.

Carroll played great and showed their grit despite Senior Curry going our with a knee injury. However, I am pretty sure that both teams would have had about 3 girls foul out. It was a very rough and physical game and CARROLL won 2 of the 4 varsity quarters played. the 1st and last Conner got the second and third to correct the poster above. Conner took both JV match-ups.

I looked at the Shelby Co. roster today at the hoopfest and they have mostly 8th graders. Did all the older players go to Collins? Saw Collins play and recognized alot of the girls from last year.

Great Coach, great girls, and a lot of young faces to help this year! Carroll is going to have a good season, they will have their ups and downs but it will be fun. They have 1 girl back that did not play last year, and 2 other seniors that are looking to go out with a bang. That with our top scorer back, will make for an exciting time.

Just saying that we have no transfers.. all have been in the CC schools since they were youngsters and some of them playing for Coach since 7th grade. This is a big year for them and it will be a fun team to watch. We are a little far away to get the benefit of any transfers...

I agree! Very excited about the Lady Panthers and I really like watching my little "home grown" team improve and play well. If I judge from the summer play this is going to be a good year for the Lady Panthers. I think there are several other teams that many are overlooking also..but give WV their due I am sure they will be great.

Hopefully you did not understand me - I think Coach Boles did a good job. It is definitely a hard job..with coaching Basketball and Softball and to get the time to work with the girls. Hopefully he will still be around in some capacity because the girls really like and respect him. I think he really raised the expectations of the program and has them on the right path. He is a great teacher and mentor to these girls and puts everything into all the sports that he coaches. Now they need someone to continue working with them and keeping the team together.

Good Luck and I hope they get someone that really wants to work with the girls. There are so many 2 and 3 sport athletes that it would be great if they find someone that works well with the other Coaches to try to share the female athletes in all the sports.

Carroll County Lady Panthers....

Well there are about 22 teams and so far CC has won all 3 of their Varsity games. The played Lafayette ( Lexington ) Apollo Somerset Some of the other teams are; Lex Catholic Boyd Co. leslie Co. Bracken Co. Lincoln Co. Bourbon Co. Bullitt Central Miami Valley Bishop Brossart Augusta Dunbar Burgin Butler Co. Perry Central There are a lot of different teams that we never run across that we are getting to watch and play.

Watched a couple of games last night. They have some nice teams there. I really like the facilities and the format of this camp.

I do not have many results except that Carroll Co. beat Gallatin and Cooper. It should be an interesting matchup between CC and Conner tonight.

Congratulation to Will. He is a great student athlete and we wish him the best.

That is correct except I think that Gallatin actually played Cooper JV Due to some issue with Dayton and the schedule.. so I am not sure if they get counted for 2 Losses or not.

She played at SPORTS OF ALL SORTS with her team on June 3, I know because we played them. I agree she needs some help around her. We beat them by 21 and our tallest player is 5'9" . I think she could really dominate, but if they can not get the ball up the floor, or in to her, then she does not have much of a chance to be a game changer. She has really great skills and I hope that she does come to Cooper because I enjoy watching her play.

Summer Ball is always fun to watch, but it really is not a good indicator of how the teams will perform. So many girls are missing and the young girls get significant playing time with the Varsity. I really enjoy this camp..except that it is about 65 degrees in the gym and fans had blankets on them..LOL
