I know there were alot of scrimmage panoramas going on around the state this weekend. Dixie Heights was in action today vs. Lexington Lafeyette on the campus of Berea and Scott was in action vs. Louisville Assumption at Bullit East. Any other updates from other scrimmages?

I watched two quarters of Boone County versus South Oldham. Boone jumped to a 25-6 first quarter margin behind 9 points in the first 4 minutes by Sydney Moss and a barrage of threes by senior guards Stacy Shrout and Annie Browning.

The second quarter was basically even as Boone mixed in lots of players and used multiple combinations, and #25 for South Oldham did some nice things to keep South Oldham more competitive. Score at the half was 36-18. I understand that the score stayed in the 25 point margin pretty much for the rest of the scrimmage.

Conner played yesterday at Henry County against Carrol County, despite a lot of injuries (Dawn Peacock, Sidney Watts and Ellerie Krig -out for the season) and missing other girls they played pretty good. Coach Stamm and his assistants coched very well and really had the girls playing agressive on both ends of the floor. Toria Fisher, Chelsea Castleberry and Amanda Ray lead the team. Sophmore Jordan Scott started and plyed well and the team at one time had 3 to 4 sophmores playing at the same time. The sophmores played very well (Emily Pluto, Samatha Porter, Margo Gedding and starter Jordan Scott). They won three out of the four quarters played. All the girls did well and it was a good start to the new season.

Carroll played great and showed their grit despite Senior Curry going our with a knee injury. However, I am pretty sure that both teams would have had about 3 girls foul out. It was a very rough and physical game and CARROLL won 2 of the 4 varsity quarters played. the 1st and last Conner got the second and third to correct the poster above. Conner took both JV match-ups.

The Conner/Carroll game was a foul fest. Carroll won the first quarter and the last quarter. Carroll had trouble adjusting after Curry went out. They were able to regroup in the fourth quarter. Trimble had little trouble with Whitfield Academy but a more physical team could give them some problems. Gallatin played North Bullitt and it looked like GC is going to push the pace this year.
