Long ago in the 15th region was a guy named Leonard Carpenter. In 1953 he established a new Kentucky career scoring record. with over 3,000 points. He was the first player to break the 3,000 point barrier. A great jump shooter. His record still stands in Magoffin County. He must be mentioned in top shooters to play in Kentucky.
