  1. Nope, not my job. Maybe Dave and Dave can bail us both out with that information after the game.
  2. Well, I thought you would have all the stats, but I guess someone else made the drive up tonight to watch Corbin. Seems like GRC has made the longer drives with more plays per possession. Not taking the field goal at the end of the first before the penalty may come back to haunt the Hounds. Fumbling after holding Clark to FOUR plays can also lead to defeat.
  3. Hounds seem to be living off the big play while GRC has dominated the clock with longer drives. The numbers of GRC may allow them to wear Corbin down. If the Hounds win this game it will be a big plus for them. Rogers is a very good athletic with super feet for a man with his size.
  4. I would say a JV player this season for him. But stranger things have happened.
  5. I would expect Corbin to have a little depth this season as well. Johnson, Manns, Wilson, Stewart, T. Smith, Hopkins, Taylor, Jones, Freeman and Sizemore may all be in the rotation for Coach P before all is said and done. I agree South should be the favorite with St. John, but Corbin, Clay, Bell, North, Harlan Co., Knox and Whitley will all have a big say in who goes to Rupp this season. Yes, HDE I did not mention Lynn Camp......although I think the Cats will be as good as most of the teams mentioned above...lol
  6. The Brashear kid would be big another big body to clog the lane area. Not sure if he is ready for varsity ball or not though. I would say he is in the 6'6 to 6'7 range and has some good hands for one his size.
  7. South Laurel will be very good this season. St. John gives them a weapon no one else in the region has, a dominate post. I would expect Gilbert, Watkins, St. John, Huff and Wright to get the majority of the minutes with Sanders playing as well. When all is said and done the winner of the 50th district will have the inside road to winning the region again this season.
  8. I doubt it, but stranger things have happened. No doubt he is a load when he catches it. He could be a weapon if used three to five times a game.
  9. cool, sounds like it is a very messy field.....this one could be another classic 2 to 0 score like the Homecoming game of 1998....tonight reminds me of that night. Hopefully the Hounds can come out on top regardless of the score.
  10. Will do. I think I will stay on the couch with Sweetness tonight and listen to Dave and Dave on the radio. Heading up to watch UK tomorrow. Man my age has to pick and choose his football action per weekend. Les, you going to the Bengals and the Steelers on Sunday. Figured Chad Johnson would hook you up with some great seats.
  11. Any chance this game gets put off til tomorrow?
  12. Crawford will play, Sowders will not IMO. I would expect some new faces on the defensive side of the ball for the Hounds. Hoover, Mahan, Reed and perhaps Taylor and Fritts could see some slight changes in position this week. I would expect some changes on kickoff and punt coverage teams also.
  13. Hounds will have to be sharper next week against Hazard to continue the win streak.
  14. Wburg gets drilled, Whitley gets drilled, LC, North, and South are all having low seasons.....Hounds maybe the only local team that can salvage the football season in the Tri County this year. Not sure the Hounds are as good as many think. Les, who are all the guys who pick the games in the Friday paper? None of them appear to be from Corbin are they all Laurel County folks? I know Cardwell, and Winterhouse but where are the others from?
  15. Ahhhh, Ol Bubba never leaves the house without his Federo...lol. You would not try to give away a man now would you? Never know where you might see Bubba. I am a man of many interests.
  16. Well, many of us fans, Hear things, see things, feel like we are on the short side of the stick, etc, etc......when things do not go our way. North has improved, but with 16 seniors on the roster this maybe their best season for the next few. Corbin needs to move on and focus on the remainder of the season. Somehow the Hounds seem to bring out the worst in their opponents. I can say without a doubt, I am proud to be a Hound supporter.
  17. If the fans heard such things then surely the refs did? I can not believe a team Coached by Steve Jewell would utter anything like that. Proof is the tape, what is documented there can not be disputed. I know Corbin coaches would have removed anyone saying things that are not part of the game. Discipline is not an issue with Corbin Football.
  18. Wburg can still not stop the run. Defense would have made a difference. Being able to run out the clock would have been big as well once they were up by 10 in the fourth. Jackets played hard, were outsized, and out numbered but almost won. Sound familar? Off to Hazard to next. It does not get any easier for the Jackets.
  19. Well, you may have hit the nail right on the head. I have witnessed all sorts of behavior throughout the years watching sports. I am glad no one was hurt tonight.
  20. North is always physical and their fans are some of the most antimated in the area. South may be in trouble this week. Fritts had some nice runs and seems to be gaining each week. Manns can be a weapon if he is used in the passing game. I though Matt Taylor was the best player on the field tonight. He made game changing plays. Foley is another weapon for the Hounds. He got zero carries tonight but teams should not forget about him. If Mitchell Fredrick could get a look at WR, I think he could be a playmaker as well. I feel he brings some things to the table that others can not. Overall a good win over a North team that was motivated and headhunting tonight.
  21. North scores on the Jv team and then goes for two. Sounds like the Jags good run comes to an end. Hounds head to South Laurel next week. Coach Jewell shows class by allowing the young kids to get some PT.
  22. Bell won easily. I want to say 34 to 7 o r perhaps 44 to 7. Colonels face their first adversity of the season. Bell proves they are still King of the Mountains.
  23. Mitchell with a 44 yard TD pass to Matt Taylor with 30 seconds in the half.....Okuma with the extra point...14 to 0 Corbin.
