  1. Good deal. Has he signed his scholly yet? I have not seen it announced in the local papers?
  2. Lafayette/Mason County Wayne County/Boyle County West Jessamine/Mercer County Madison Central/Lincoln County Madison Southern/Pulaski County 7- Madison Southern 5- West Jessamine 3- Mason County 2- Wayne County 1- Lincoln County Tiebreaker: Mason County
  3. Whitley's biggest player is about 6'4. Cards should be able use that to their advantage. I doubt the game will be as physical as the contest tonight since it is played at GRC?
  4. Mostly man to man. They are really, really good on the defensive side of the ball......GRC should give them matchup fits due to the size of the Cards.
  5. Akins had an outstanding game for Whitley. I believe he scored 22 points. Dee Butcher played well off the bench with 11 points. Redhounds were led by Wilson with 22 and Johnson with 18. Colonels dominated the boards with the absence of Aaron Manns for Corbin. Turnovers probably were the difference in the game. Whitley had 17 whereas Corbin had 8. Very physical, brutal game with contact on many shots and lots of hand checking, etc. It was difficult for either team to get much a rhythm on offense and both teams shot less than 50 percent from the field.
  6. I believe the brackets are: Harlan vs Bville OBI vs LC Pineville vs Mboro Red Bird vs Wburg So Bville and LC would meet in the semi-finals if they both win their Quarterfinal games.
  7. How did the scoring go for Lynn Camp in this contest? Nice win heading into the ALL A next week for the Wildcats.
  8. Aaron Manns is listed on the Border Bowl roster so I think it is a safe bet he can not be in two places at once. Although, he is a large guy and does take up lots of space.
  9. I would think a coin flip will be needed unless Bville can Beat Kc. Then the Tigers are the 1 SEED. KC and LC will be 2 and 3 and face off in the first round of the district at KC. Not sure what the tie breakers are? Road wins, quarters or margin of victory. Some districts use Lit or Cantrell rankings also.
  10. How does the tie breaker work for this district? Lynn Camp is 2-1, Pineville is 0-2, KC 0-1 and Bville 2-0 with a win over Lynn Camp. It looks like Pineville is going to get the 4 seed, but how will the other seeds come out? I would suspect LC is hoping for a KC win over Bville tomorrow by less than 20 points.
  11. Lincoln County/Boyle County Knox Central/Rockcastle County Bryan Station/Scott County Madison Southern/Harlan County Montgomery County/Covington Catholic 7- Scott County 5- Madison Southern 3- Lincoln County 2- Knox Central 1- Cov Cath. Tiebreaker - Knox Central
  12. Cards are a big and talented team. LCA missing Evans almost takes the fun out of this contest. Would have loved to see him battle the giants of GRC. Both teams are well coached teams.
  13. Looks like Mitchell played well. He is a very under rated player for the Tigers. Good win. Is Reid injured, ill or undisclosed reason for absence on the floor for the WYMT?
  14. He is listed at 6'4 and 175. Good ballhandler and even better passer. Has a very nice mid range jumper and the ability to change speeds with the ball and drive it into the lane. Athletic enough to create his shot off the dribble. At times he maybe too unselfish for his own good. I know that sounds strange with a young man who is averaging 25 plus per game. I would think he is mid major division one level player in the right system of play. No doubt he would be a nice addition for the Mid South conference teams within the area.
  15. UHA vs Byrnes SC at 5:00 Corbin vs Notre Dame at 6:45 Franklin Co. vs Pontotac MS at 9:00 Dunk Contest between 6:45 and 9:00 games.
  16. Any details on how this game unfolded? Lafayette seems to be playing well under the direction of Greg Coldiron. How did Cody Miller look for KC?
  17. Three nice wins for Rob Jones and the gang from McCreary County in this tournament.
  18. I look for Aaron Watts and Coach Rob Jones to win this one. I am glad Watts is getting the chance to showcase his skills in this event. He is a hidden gem down here in the southern end of the state.
  19. Never count out Scott. They are well coached. One would think Trinity would be a favorite in this contest, but the Eagles have a way of playing smart, playing together and playing hard.....that makes them tough to beat.
  20. Nice win for Coach Rob Jones and the Raiders in the big city of Lexington. How many points did Watts score for the Raiders in this contest?
  21. Carton is not playing anymore. I think he discontinued before the Hoopin It Up Tourney.
  22. I would expect Byrnes and Pontotoc to be very athletic teams with good size since both are fairly large schools. Byrnes has played in the CFIT before. They usually play solid defense and run a very patient offense which gives many running teams problems. Notre Dame is coached by former Cumberland College player Tommy Fox. They are a private school in the Chattanooga area. I am sure they will be a well coached team with some good outside shooters. Should be a nice field with many competitive games.
