Week 3, both teams are 1-1. In the past its been all Williamsburg, I think this will be a better game than in years past, the question is can the Raiders put the ball in the end zone enough to beat the Jackets???? The Raiders defense has been strong in both of their games this year, but they have not faced a team that will throw it as much as Williamsburg Can the Raiders get ready this week to defend the passing game?? Whoever gets the breaks is the team that will win, its going to be another good game and to close to call at this time is my prediction. The Raiders could make alot of people happy if they could pull out an upset??

McCreary Central hosted a tournament this weekend. Southwestern came in first place, McCreary Central came in second. Way to go Raiders!!

Very good game, for both teams. The Raiders just made some mistakes. Hats off to a good Oneida tream, but I feel the Raiders gave this game away. It has a good test for both teams, and the Raiders will be tested again this week at home against a very good Williamsburg team that is coming off a huge win in Jellico. Keep your heads up Raiders, good things are coming down the road.

I think that McCreary can make a game out of this one against Oneida, Tn, and I really feel they have an outright chance to win, but it will be a tough game and will give the Raider their first true test of this young season. Win or lose I hope the Raiders work hard and they continue to improve as a team. Raiders by 6.

I am hearing that with the win last week, some players came out that use to play football for the Raiders, if this is true, you can add some more talent to an already talented team. Now the question is can all this talent come together and play as one? Only time will tell. Good Luck Raiders and I will see you at the Oneida Game.

Brandon Tucker was the player of the game for the Raiders. I do not know how long it has been since the Raiders have won their first game of the season, but the streak is over.... Great job Raiders. This Raiders team has alot of talent, and could make things happen in the future. They play at home the next two weeks, this week against Oneida, Tenn. and the following week against Williamsburg. Yes I am hearing that the Raiders will play district football next year. I think that this McCreary team could end with a 7-3 or 6-4 record, don't underestimate the underdogs.

Yes I am from McCreary County. I do believe since the youth football program has started, the middle school program has gotten so much stronger, and I cannot help but think that this will only help our high school program as well. If this is true, then we should have several years ahead that we could be very competitive in the sport of football. Only time will tell.

Well Mcreary played a very tough Leslie County team Friday night in the last scrimmage game, they have some things to work on, but it still seems like this will be an interesting year for the Raiders. What I am hearing at this time, the Raiders do plan to get back into the district next year. The Watts kid is going to be a great asset to the team, but their are a number of players that could help the Raiders finally get over the hump. The new and experienced coach of the team really likes to mix it up, so you just never know whats coming next. Going to Berea to play Powell County this Saturday. The person that you are thinking about was a Jones boy, he has graduated and now is playing football for Union College. As for the upcoming season, McCreary looked good in their first scrimmage against Lynn Camp. We are hoping this is the year that we can break into the winning ways, but no matter what happens, next year we can only get better.
