Hester's 2nd game back and SK played horrible. Shelby won by I think 4 at home? Hester's been playing alot better and on a neutral floor think the Pioneers will get the best of them.

I will give Oldham some respect but they did get the best draw. By the way they got beat by SK without Hester playing.

Oldham Co has to be pinching themselves with this draw. Nice path to finals and since the finals are the night after the semis might get a worn down Shelby/SK or Gallatin.

Gallatin Co drew Shelby Co in the 8th.

I guess the draw really doesnt matter SK would have to beat Shelby or Gallatin to make to Rupp anyway. Good Luck Pioneers.

Austin Hill is without a doubt the best player in NKY agreed. Hester is right there with the other 2 guys and you cant really compare them because Mike is a true PG and the other 2 ( Pelle and Jacobs ) are not. If I was a coach and needed a PG I would take Hester over both. If I needed a scorer I would consider Pelle or Jacobs.

Like I said before I too believe Hurd should have been POY. But I have no problem with Hester winning it. I think the coaches took Mike's entire career into consideration when giving him this award.

How did Josh play the game before the Cov Cath game? Pretty darn good right? Didnt he have like 29pts? And I know the kid can dunk in warm ups ( although i wouldnt say throw it down ) he just doesnt have much exploveness.

Hurd i dont think is athletic enough. The kids a very good basketball player but he is 6ft 8in and I have never seen this kid dunk a basketball in a game. I know that sounds pretty petty but seriously think about it. I also think Josh doesnt dominate as he should as often. He's had a great year but he's had some games where he really didnt show up against kids 4 or 5 inches shorter than him. ( Cov Cath ) Rice of Holmes is a tough call because I dont know what position he would play even if he was a few inches taller. He doesnt have the ball skills to play guard and with just a few more inches only making him 6ft 6in or so wouldnt be big enough to play down low. Hill is a D-1 player. Last I heard anyway.

Im with you on that. :thumb: Im not sure that Georgetown is a lock like everyone is making it out to be. He's been getting interest from a number of D-2 schools all year, Georgetown is probably the front runner though. I just havent heard any talk about NKU.

That might be a stretch. Hester, Jacobs and Jefferson are the only three that come to mind. I might be forgetting someone but those three are the only ones that really seem to have the skill just not the size to play D-1. And saying Hester isnt close seems a bit harsh. Going to a school like Georgetown or a good D-2 school is about as close as you can get to D-1.

Getting back to Mike, I would be shocked if he wound up at NKU. For anyone who believes he isnt good enough to play for the Norse you obviously either havent watched the kid play enough or know little about basketball.

Owen County's schedule is awfully weak. What was there best win? S.Oldham or Gallatin? By the way, how many times did they play Gallatin this year? 4 or 5? You give them SK's schedule and youre looking at more of a 13-13 team than a 21-5. JMO

Agree 100%. Dont know exactly how to go about it but I would love to see each level of the post season seeded.

My question is, does Steiner play Hurd and/or Hester in the opening district game against Williamstown? Hurd definitley shouldnt in my mind and it might not be a bad idea to give Hester a game off but since they both would probably be taken out after the first 3 min of the game my question is probably pointless.
