Who will be the new coach at Clay County?
Hicks should have won multiple state titles by now. He does less with more than just about anyone I've ever seen. He's like Dean Smith - all the talent in the world, but finds a way to underachieve.

Louisville jobs
That's correct. Lemon was hired at Seneca.

Coach Hurley/St Anthony's NJ Documentary
You really believe they are paying tuition? I talked to a player from St. Anthony's once. He told me he came from a one bedroom apartment with just his mom and 4 kids. When asked about tuition, he simply stated it was taken care of. And I never said their parents would complain, I said if he were in Kentucky he wouldn't last long. Totally different mind-set and totally different set of rules.

Coach Hurley/St Anthony's NJ Documentary
I watched the show last night. Great coach and a well made documentary. Willing to bet he wouldn't last long coaching in Kentucky though because all the mommies and daddies would be calling their school board members and bombarding the superintendent's office with calls/visits over the way he talks to the kids.

Curtis Turley named head coach at Martha Layne Collins
Maybe the new principal at Collins really enjoys conducting interviews because given this hire he'll be conducting boys basketball interviews again next year at this time!

Kentucky/Indiana Allstar team
So those guys can't play because they are small? I would be willing to bet Mosley ends up being a very good OVC player at APSU. Played a lot of good minutes for them this year as a freshman. Maybe you saw the article in the C-J this week about Sloan scoring 45 points in the DII regional championship game and leading his team to the Elite 8. I was just pointing out that those two guys, along with Cox, had a good two day try-out and were much better in the drills/scrimmages than a couple of guards the coaching staff kept, including the one from Apollo that just so happened to play for Coach Hopper. If the team is already decided before try-outs, why try-out?

Kentucky/Indiana Allstar team
Indiana had a huge height advantage last year no matter who KY suited up, so why not take a quick team and hopefully make their big guys run on a college length floor that they weren't used to playing on. As it was, KY took more of a half-court team minus the best two guards at the try-out in Mosley and Sloan from Louisville, not to mention Cox from Louisville was also very good. Kentucky ended up being not only smaller, but also slower than Indiana and had no shot at winning either game. How in the world you can pick the KY All-Stars without any 7th Region players is beyond me. Mosley averaged 27 ppg on a good Moore team and hung 40-50 on several top 20 teams in the state, yet that can't get you on the KY All-Stars in a year where our talent was way down? I saw what he did at try-outs and there was no way you could keep him off that team unless you had some sort of agenda - like picking a player off your own team.

Kentucky/Indiana Allstar team
That may very well be the case, but he didn't pick the team last year that gave him the best chance to win against Indiana. If you had been at try-outs I think you would agree with me. A lot of people were left shaking their heads when the roster was announced.
