Just wondering.....Was there a parade following the game??

The thing about Raceland is that they come to play. They are playing harder now than they have played this season. West carter better not be overlooking them, becuase there may be some flashbacks from the beginning of the seasson.

:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: This has the making to be a great game, but lets make sure that Rose Hill will show up. Someone needs to check the schedule and make sure that the Royals will not have played 3 consecutives days leading into the day of districts.

Buck Master I dont understand how that win does not constitute as peaking at the right time. I mean Ashland is on a 4 game winning streak, this is somthing that hasn't happened all year. And they started this streak with wins over two quality 16th region opponents in Elliot Co. and Greenup Co. It like a snowball. You start out with a small ball of snow and as it keeps rolling it gets bigger and bigger. And with these 4 wins in a row, Ashland's confidence is growing, and they are starting to play together. And what is so great about this, is that it is right before districts. LIke blue blazer said, Watch out, you may get Scratched.

Alot of Ashland's shots early in the game were short, and then as the game went on it seemed as they started to get their legs under them.

At the beginning of the game, Ashland did struggle to hit shots, It didnt help any for them that Greenup came out and hit the first 3 shots that they took. So right off the bat, Ashland was down 6 points. Good win for the Tomcats.

Why take the oppurtunity away for other teams to play in the championship when you know that you wont play in the championship. That is why it is unfair.

But the thing is..that rules are a part of sports and life, you have to learn to live by them and play by them. SO to say you played your all's role to perfection is an understatement becuase you could not finish the tournament or you would have violated the rules.

I dont think Ashland cared who they played in the finals. I have seen those three mentioned play, and yes they are talented for their age, but they also show their age. But I was scouting Rose Hill Varisty and stayed fRaceland Rose HIll freshman game and the kid wearing #4 held Euton to 1pt. I was impressed becuase I am drawn to lockdown defenders and i thought that kid could really play defense.

Yeah, Greenup and Ashland or West and Ashland would have been a great final to see. All teams were playing great ball. Rose hill should have just pulled out then instead of knocking out two well deserving freshman teams. Nothing personal RickyP butI am not blaming you, I blame Coach Fraley and the Eutons.

I think we both know. He has got a special place for it!!!

Quite convienently the KHSAA was reached 6:30, close to tip off, leaving very little time to contact players.

Not Ashlands problem, Rose Hill's problem. They should have known the rules. The AIT schedule was out in september and the varisty schedule was out in september. Plain and simple, KNOW THE RULES. If you cant play the whole tournament, then dont enter it. :thumb:

Well you either have a freshman team or you dont have a freshman team. You shouldnt have entered the tournament then. Any way from the previous post i counted six eligible players, why cant they play? Ive seen bath county play with six and win. And i am not saying that ashland offered it, but they would have wanted to win this out right.

Hey its not my fault that some people dont completely understand the rules. I believe that Coach Fraley and Euton should have realized the situation and held back a few players out instead of playing them in tuesday jv and varisty game. It is my understanding that Coach Euton's wife is the AD, and with that comes the responsibility of knowing the rules. I know that if a Kentucky team plays across the river, it is their responsibilty to know the qurater rule if it is within the contract. So its not Ashland's fault, the only thing that I blame them for is letting rose hill in the tournament anyway.

Thats not what I am trying to say AT41. Im really taking a slap at rose hill in a nice way for the way that they handled this situation. It was really a classless act. :ylsuper:

I know that at one point in the season, Fraley dressed 19 players on the varsity bench. (I know this becuase I counted personally). So you telling me that you cant find a few extra players to play in the tournament other than the Varsity starters. Ashland is a class act, I am sure that they would even allow Rose Hill to bring down a sophomore or two to play in the game, so it wouldn't tarnish their championship.

Could this be a new beginning of the Rose Hill - Ashland alliance?!?!?! Was this planned from the beginning? Why in the world would Ashland let Rose Hill into their tournament knowing that they were going to bring their Varisty, and be the favorites, unless they knew that all they had to do was make it to the finals to be champions. I dont understand why they didnt just play some of the younger kids, then rose hill would have had an excuse for losing. I was very dissapointed to show up to ashland tonight to watch only the consolation game between east and west, and not even get to see the finals. Sorry but in my opinion, if i were any other 16th region team or local team i would seriously considered foregoing a future invitation for the AIT. This definitely hurt the mystique of the AIT becuase I know that many of the area coaches treat this as their regional tournament. :fight:
