Thank you for noticing that Kooper. I mentioned it in the Ryle / Boone update thread. It could have been a 10 point swing without the Aery TD and the Farris carry marked out at the 12 instead of the 5, where after they lost yardage on a couple of plays, Boone made a field goal which they may not have made from 7 yards further back.

Heck, they gave up almost 7 last year, (6.77). Not all earned though.

Glad you are starting to realize that. BTW....even the ICN6 commentators commented on how well Ryle contained him. You know he is going to get 25 to 30 touches, at 4 or 5 ypc he will get well over 100 yards and there is nothing you can do about that.

Anybody that averages 12 runs a game will win it, no doubt. Don't think Boone was anywhere near 12 runs per game though last year, and they lose a big bat in Korman.

Oh yea, There will be a few Ryle boys with the numbers to be in the running. We'll have to check the stats aroubd mid May.

Enquire had Cory at 160 yars, minus the 80 yard TD, he had say 80 yards all day. I think he had 300 the previous week vrs. Dixie. Yep, I am satisfied with the job the D did there.

Me too, that's why I pick Ryle to repeat. As for PT, many Ryle juniors played down the streach. As a matter of fact, Braylen Chandler and Dylan Campbell played at Applebee's last year and Austin Seabold pitched there as well. So that's 3 Ryle players that played at Applebee's last year vrs. zero from CCH or Beechwood. So at least we agree that experience helps.

So please explain. If Boone might have the best line up, yet it will come down to the battle of Ft. Wright, which is it. And my point about Boone's pitching is, how can you get out of the districts if you don't have any pitching.

Really? Didn't Ryle win the semi-state last year, returning 8 from that team along with a ton of talent from the JV Regional Champs. Tell me how they have the most proven talent again please?

Well we would certainly appreciate if you would share with us who some of these very talanted players are. Orr should we just take your word for it. Most Boone folks will tell you that pitching was a problem there last year, so tell us how it's going to get better this year. And your wrong about your last statement, I predict Ryle will repeat, but Beechwood and Cov Cath will have a shot at it as well.

Maile got his chance with nobody on and he grounded to second. Not many teams will pitch to a 3 or 4 hitter with a base runner in scoring position in a close game.

Really ? Cory and Mark Reed? Didn't have any pitching last year other then Brad.

Most varsity coaches have an ideal if a kid can play when they are freshmen. They know what summer clubs they play on and they watch them come thru the freshmen and JV ranks and get a lot of input from their coaches. They have a very good ideal of the 20 kids they will keep from the 45 tryouts. They still look at everyone because every once in a while you have a transfer student or a diamond in the rough, someone under the radar.

Ryle seems to be getting the passing game on track, which will open it up for Schmitz. Dixie had trouble stopping the pass against Boone. Other then a big play or two, the Raiders held Farris in check and completely took the passing game away from Boone. Raiders by 14.

Thought Ryle looked real good, mixing up the pass and the run. Exactly what they need comming down the streach. D held Farris to probably around 100 yards, the only real threat was the 82 yard run on the second play. Campbell shut out #22. Great effort Raiders. Congrats to Boone. Can't get any closer then 354 to 350 total yards each.

Who would have thought Boone was the passing team and Ryle was not.?

Refs seem to be missing a few calls in this one. Farris steps out of bounds on the 15, ball marked down on the five. #30 for Boone steps out of bounds just past the line of scrimage, goes on to score. Who is this crew tonight, anybody know?

Ryle brought their B game to Boone last year, it could happen.

And I am thinking maybe the Boone team that lost to Owensboro might show up.

Coach Demler got them ready, Pat will take them up a notch. It will be fun to see them back at Applebee's in June.
