The cost is more than most understand, driver, diesel fuel, and snacks/food for about 30 kids to and from for coaches and mgrs too. As you know, our JV did play "T" at St. Matthews and if I was told correctly, (I couldn't get off work earlier enough to make the trip South), most didn't get home to nearly 11pm on a Monday night.

Did I just read that BGP's and Sinbad 74 will cover the cost of traveling to Louisville or for them to travel North to Park Hills for Freshmen games? WOW thank you and I will pass on your kind offer to cover that cost to our AD and Coaches.

Got to say that #12 Roy for Conner is a stud in the making! The kid ran, caught, and made tackle after tackle. TOG tips his hat to this young man for his play tonight.:thumb:

Indeed it is their 1st Amendment right and it is also the fans, the owners and whomever is contributing to the players paycheck right to protest also and it seems it is starting to hit the NFL in their hearts, that is their wallets! If anyone of us did something to hurt the business's bottom line that we work for, trust me, you wouldn't have a job for long and you can say it's your right and it is but not on the job site, if you want to keep your job!

This coming Friday night Oct 13th when CovCath host Highlands, the players from the 1st CovCath football team (1967) along with the six teams that have won a KHSAA Football Championship (1987, 88, 93, 94, 97 and 2006) will be honored at Halftime. Wooten Field at Dennis Griffin Stadium under the light on a Friday night, with the young and old Colonels Football teams members attending this game! WOW, has it really been 50 years ago! Looking so very forward to this Friday night!

To be fair to the Red Colonels fans, this thread is supposed to be about the Highlands vs Dixie game.

BTW Coldiron is visiting Northwestern today!

One thing that CWB didn't mention was after the FG by Gronotte, CovCath with about 2 minutes left in the game, took out it's starting D and replaced them with the Senior who hadn't played while Chatard kept in their starters. Those seniors did a great job in keeping Chartard starters from scoring again.

At my girlfriend home back in the day, now my Wife, Fried Bologna was the choice for Breakfast. It was on a white bread toasted with butter, fried egg, fried bologna with miracle whip and a slice of American cheese. My heart Doctor would kill me if I told him today that is what I had for Breakfast now but back in the day, yep that is what we ate almost every day and it was good!

Got to agree they stink but thank God for them. In 2003 I had a major heart attack and after a couple of days in intensive care the bill came to over $96,000.00 but I had between my wife family insurance policy and mine own family policy we were left with a bill totaling $125.00. A couple of years ago I went to the emergency room, as I couldn't pee, yes it hurt like hell and I was told I had to have "TURP Surgery", three days later I was back in the emergency room with emergency surgery to remove my gall bladder. Thank God again for my insurance as between two to three weeks I had two major surgeries and 11 days in the hospital and while it cost a little more than before I was left with a bill under $1,000.00. We are on medicare part b along with AARP RX and Media Care Complete now and indeed it is increasing again but....I figure I am ahead of the game, but then again "The Boss" other that having our daughter, has never even been to a Doctor.......

His cousin Luke Maile won Mr. Baseball without winning a State Baseball Title of course he was the Player of the Year three straight years in the Ninth Region in Baseball and went to Kentucky and I am not sure AJ has even played in 16 quarters so far this season.

I haven't read the entire thread, so I apologize in advance if this was covered but why When UK scored their late 4th quarter TD to increase their lead to 5 points, I told "The Boss" that UK needed to go for a 2 point conversion, as Fla was going to score a TD in those last few minutes and after they scored, the PAT would win them the game. Can’t believe they didn’t go for two, as even if they missed the 2pt conversion, Fla then would still need a TD to win the game. Dumb decision by the UK coaching staff in not thinking ahead, as honestly, how many times out of a 100 does a team miss a PAT kick?
