So, hypothetical, one burns 2000cal. In rest and let's say another 1000 during daily activity. Is consuming 2000 calories. One is at a 1000 calorie deficit. Where do you think those extra calories are coming from. The bodies burning something. My qualified opinion is that most is from stored fat. Hence weight loss.
Weight loss is simple math. Take in less calories than you burn and body will go to fat reserves to make up for deficit. Ig he's not losing weight he needs to either burn more calories or consume less.
If you dropped calories to 1500. You would drop 3500 calories a week. That equals 1lb. Also cheat day can be a misnomer. You eat 10000 calories in that day and you just blew up the whole week of dieting. Not a fan
BMI is really stupid. DOT was implementing regulation that would have disqualified all CDL drivers that BMI classified as obese. Had to shelve that reg.
