I couldn't care less if they scored. I was pointing out that a poor coaching decision was made pertaining to strategy. Actually if they were up two scores, the coach at least doesn't jeopardize losing the game by running a play.

If taking a knee doesn't kill the clock then yes you run a play. So it had to have been 4th down on the scoring play?Nobody has really stated the actual circumstances.

Since the last drive was 5 plays, I would guess they used them, if they had any left. I doubt they would have any on the last play.

I've seen teams take a knee up 3 inside opponents 10. It's the "smart" play. Hey it didn't backfire, that's great. But if it had you would be singin a different tune.

I don't have a problem with it. Its just bad coaching. Imagine what the reaction would be if they did make a mistake that resulted in the ball going the other way. You all would be screaming about them not taking a knee.

Taking a knee is putting the game away. Running plays is still leaving the door open. Coaching 101

Actually if you are in a situation to close game out in victory formation, and you instead run plays. You are quite stupid.

I like the Elder game. Much more interest locally, especially for us that work with people from Cincinnati. I think the draw is better also. I am going to the Elder game. I wouldn't go to a game in Louisville. I believe ST X came up here in 06 and played the Birds at PBS. If I remember correctly there were very few fans on the ST X side. Playing T would be neat, but like I said i prefer a GCL opponent. JMO.
