  1. I was 3 out of 4 on my picks today. Congrats Holmes! Good Luck against South Laurel.
  2. Wow. I wan't expecting to read this when I got on Preps tonight. Congrats to Coach Rison for a remarkable career. If you played for him, you were a very lucky player. Coach Rison always had his teams prepared to compete and win. Montgomery County will have a tough time replacing this Mt. Sterling legend!
  3. Heard from a reliable source that Fairdale dominated the boards and South Laurel barely got this one. South Laurel must have used some of that veteran experience to win. Congrats to the Cardinals and good luck against Covington Holmes.
  4. I believe that every region has at least one player and some regions have two.
  5. Looks like my first game of the tourney will be Adair County vs. Scott County...
  6. The game is on Saturday March 24. It will take place between the semi-finals and finals at Transylvania University. I believe the game time is around 3:00-3:30pm. The teams are divided into West(regions 1-8) and East(regions 9-16). I only know of one person who is playing in it so far. Kane Belcher(Pendleton County) will represent the East squad and the 10th region.
  7. Well I'm 0 for 1 on my picks. Congrats to the unheralded Indians.
  8. 1 Lincoln Co. 1 Scott Co. 1 South Laurel 1 Holmes 1 Ballard 1 Clark Co 1 Elliott Co 1 Warren Central 2 Scott Co 2 Holmes 2 Ballard 2 Warren Central 3 Scott Co 3 Ballard 5 Scott Co Tie 133
  9. 1965 was the first year that Pendleton made the sweet 16. I was born in 1986. I am told that I attended games throughout my elementary years but the earliest games I can remember is during the late 90's when Highlands went to Rupp a few years in a row. I think I remember them playing Graves Co. and Henderson Co. So I'm estimating about 12 or 13 years that I have been to the state tournament. I also was very fortunate to play in one! P.S. I missed the sweet 16 in 2006 for a very important reason.:thumb:
  10. That's exactly why I picked them in the poll. Six straight state tourneys is a big deal and like Muddy Ford said, Central's experience will help them a lot.
  11. WOW! As you could expect, Scott County is taking up most of the votes.
  12. I'll be there all day Friday and all day Saturday!! Can't wait.....
  13. Sorry about that. Thought I was on the boys forum.
  14. I played some AAU ball with Blake during the summer of 2004. He was one of my best friends on the team. I always was admired by how he handled himself. Very humble person and a very good basketball player.
  15. I can still remember the night when Mr. Marks scored 50+ at Pendleton County and it looked as if he didn't break a sweat.
  16. Wednesday Adair County vs. Lincoln County Scott County vs. Oldham County South Laurel vs. Fairdale Holmes vs. Paducah Tilghman Thurday Owensboro vs. Ballard George Rogers Clark vs. Christian County Elliott County vs. Shelby Valley June Buchanen vs. Warren Central
  17. I have played against Wes many times and he has one of the purest shots I have ever witnessed. He lead Belmont in scoring for 4 straight seasons and is their all-time leading scorer(D-1 era).
  18. What ever happened Adair County star Blake Martin? He graduated from AC in 2005.
