I played some AAU ball with Blake during the summer of 2004. He was one of my best friends on the team. I always was admired by how he handled himself. Very humble person and a very good basketball player.

I can still remember the night when Mr. Marks scored 50+ at Pendleton County and it looked as if he didn't break a sweat.

I have played against Wes many times and he has one of the purest shots I have ever witnessed. He lead Belmont in scoring for 4 straight seasons and is their all-time leading scorer(D-1 era).

What ever happened Adair County star Blake Martin? He graduated from AC in 2005.

PT wins their 3rd regional title in the past 8 years.

I saw him and JBS play against Pendleton County in the first round of the 5/3 Classic. Stepp didn't score particularly much that game, but I was impressed by his unselfishness and his ability to get in the paint with ease and find open players. Good luck to JBS at Rupp!

I am gonna predict that GRC and Christian will be the most exciting out of all the first round games.

These days....winning 6 straight regional titles is simply amazing!!! Congrats Central. They are my pick to win the whole thing.

I created this same thread last year. I think it's neat to see what everybody is thinking. Last year the leading vote getter was South Laurel with 75. This accounted for 29.64% of all votes. The eventual state champion Jeffersontown ended up with 17 votes accounting for 6.72% of all votes. And the eventual state runner-up Apollo ended up with 1 vote accounting for 0.40% of all votes. Good luck trying to pick this year's winner!!

Comments: 1) I heard from a good reliable source that Elliott Co. hit more shots and outrebounded Ashland in the 2nd half. It was a close game all the way through except the 2nd half of the 4th quarter. It was tied at 43 at the half. 2) Congrats to Coach Biggs and the Tomcats on a good season. They end at 22-11 and Coach Biggs has led his past 4 teams(3 at Pendleton County and 1 at APB) to their respective district titles and at least to the regional semi-finals. Look for them to be back again next season. 3) My hats off to the young Elliott County team. They are now 24-6 and played their basketball throughout the playoffs. Congrats on being the 16th All "A" Champs and Regular Champs. I could very easily see them competing to go the final four(with their draw).

Kane Belcher-Pikeville

Pendleton County senior Kane Belcher committed to NAIA Division 1 Pikeville College today. He received a full athletic scholarship and will play under former Mason County head coach Kelly Wells. Pikeville competes in the Mid-South conference. Congrats to Kane!!:dancingpa

Congrats to George Rogers Clark for winning their first Region Title in 17 years!! Hopefully they can beat the 2nd region on Thursday so I get to see them on Friday. Good luck and make the 10th proud!
