  1. I know 8th graders that played varsity last year and will play as freshman this year. Had a much better record then you can show. You even bragged about D1 coaches coming to Rose Hill[-which is against the rules of KHSAA] to look at freshman. Talk all you want , it is cheap. We will see this year how good they are.
  2. Now I wonder why Euton and Jackson are on there. Euton's dad is their coach and has his nose in every thing going. jeezzzzzzzzzz thats just the way things are. See how good they do this year. I didn't hear anything last year. Just AAU.
  3. Most of the time it ,to get on this list, it's who you know, not how well you play. I see a lot of players whose daddy's got them there. :creepy:
  4. This is the first I've heard of it. I don't like it! Hope it is just a rumor.
  5. Paintsville in the top 25? I don't think so, not unless they have pulled it together since last year.
  6. I know you are right on that. Takes an exceptional player to play D1. They have more kids to choose from in the cities.
  7. Alot of our mountain kids play AAU all summer and they don't just travel to Lexingtin and Louisville, they travel all over the country. They have played against some of the best players in the country. I've see boys names ranked high and I know we have played against them and beat them. I know school teams are different, and more exciting but the mountain boys are not a bunch that needs to go to the city to see a good ball game.
  8. You would be suprised just how many people have been out of the mountains [duh] and how many teams have played against City schools. I am not saying anybody has a D1 player. But we have watched and even played a few big schools.
  9. This was Leslie Co. playing Lee Co. in the regional tournament 2006. Didn't know this was just about Hazard. Pretty dominating at Rupp too. Madison by 40.
  10. 72 to 57 now that was dominating. I believe Leslie scored the 72. Watch the defense now.
  11. Oh you were sincere about JBS and yet you think 17 points is dominating. I know the schedules are posted.
  12. I believe you were making fun of JBS schedule last year. [ NAW you wouldn't do that] Just letting you know,JBS won't be playing Riverside or David this year. Will Lee?
  13. Collins got his leg broke last year, so I don't know how much difference a 6'8" center would make . No one knows how this year will go. There are some good teams from the 14th. I have no clue if there are any D1 players out there.
  14. Its as plain as the nose on your face. You got JBS with 3 D1 players, I was just saying , stuff happens. We will have to wait and see how this year goes.
  15. Hope to see you at the fifth-third invitational at Lexington Catholic. The WYMT at PCC. The Warrior Classic ,and PCC Inv. where JBS will be playing Mason Co. Wish you hadn't brought JBS into this thread. I don't know why you always do, but I'll put JBS schedule up against Lee's.
  16. I mean the whole thing! Not just the 14th. If they are so good they should have won it all. Check out JBS schedule and then call it weak.
  17. JBS beat Pikeville by 40, that wasn't bad I wondered where you had been. If there wasn't a team that could play with Lee, how come they didn't win? I didn't see them playing at Rupp. JBS was runners up in the Kentucky High School Varsity AAU. Where was Lee? Why didn't they win the ALL A if they were so good?
  18. No one can predict how this year will go. If every player will play their best and there are no injuries we might see a little into the future, if every coach and every ref will do their best and give every kid a fair shake, we might be able to see a little into the future. If every kid will know they can always get better and not get full of themselves, that would be a miracle in its self. Just know there is always somebody out there that can beat you on any given night, we might be able to look ahead. There may be some D1 players in the 14th, guess we will just have to wait and see.
  19. First of all, you have to know the kids. Some work hard everyday, to improve their game, some don't. Some know the game , some don't have a clue. Some will do the hard things, because they know it will help them down the road, some won't. Some have a goal, and they work toward that goal everyday of their lives because it is their desire. Some don't. Some have god given talent and attributes and waste it, some work harder to take advantage of what has been given to them. Some have goals and work toward that goal every day, some would rather goof off. Look to the ones who have a goal. D 1 is not out of their reach.
  20. Not trying to tear any kid down, just trying to keep it real. You got 'em going from middle school to NBA, like superman, faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound
  21. Believe me, I am not concerned about his shot, it is the adults trying to compare him with NBA players. Trying to rank kids all over the nation. Whose opinion is that? I've heard the wind blow before.
  22. Jackson has been held back. I don't care how old he is, he has been held back. That gives him another year to play ball. Don't try to smooth it over. He's gonna have to improve his out side shot. Then I don't think I would compare him to Rondo, except neither one can shoot. Don't forget his buddy or you will be in BIG trouble.
