  1. Collins is 6'8" and has been playing AAU this summer. I think he should be ready to go.
  2. Tradition does not help to make a gym big enough or safe enough and the parking good enough. A tournament should never be played in that old gym at Hazard. You have too many bigger, better places. KCC was running over this past Dis. and Reg. tournaments, and when a game went into 2 overtimes fans had to wait for a seat. There was standing room only inside and people waiting to get in. Lets put a little thought into the comfort and safety of the fans. I'm sure they think tradition at Hazard, but there are fans from other places that don't know or care. I think KCC seats 5500 , way more than Hazard.
  3. I don't get the connection. Spurlock is Hazard's coach. Feltner was KCC 's coach. Who will take either one of their places?
  4. Clark Stepp and Tate Cox played for JBS underclassmen.
  5. What age group does Euton play in? Last year when I watched them he played 13U to win championship. Then tried 14U and didn"t do so great.
  6. One of EKL players was ask to play with the Eddie Ford hoopstars. He has played against most of these boys either in AAU or high school. I have heard of Ty Perkins, gets T's almost every high school game. I am sure they are a good team. They won't know if they are the best untill they play some of the better teams around. We have a good addition in Cody Miller. He is 6'3" and can handle the ball.
  7. Thanks, it must have been the younger 15U Shining Stars from Ohio and Ky. We beat them 22 points[Ohio] and 12 points[Ky.] We have played against the Faulkner twins since 12U .
  8. Thanks for the info. 4 of our boys played high school varsity ball last season, so they were playing against some 19 yr. olds. If the Faulkners played, I know we are in their range.
  9. I would like to know, if this is the same Shining Stars that East Kentucky Lightning beat in the April 1-3 tournament. 15U. We beat both Ky. and Ohio Shining Stars
  10. East Kentucky Lightning played Ohio Shining Stars and Ky. Shining Stars in Florence this past week end. Is this the same Shining Stars you are talking about??
  11. East Kentucky Lightning had one practice before this tournament. The first two games were won by 22 points each.Which wasn't that much comp. On Sat. the competition was some better. Any way it was a start. See you around. Maybe at an AAU tournament.
  12. East Kentucky Lightning won the East Super Regionals this weekend in Florence, Ky. defeating 4 teams in 2 days. This qualified them to go on to Orlando ,Florida to play the last of June in the Nationals. They will be playing several more tournaments before the Nationals.
  13. Who are the 4 players , playing up in the group with the Faulkner twins?
  14. East Kentucky Lightning has a very good team this year. Elisha Justice, Tate Cox, Taylor Newsome, Ashley Hatfield, Logan Bryant.Tyler Newsome,Cody Miller and Garrison Collins. Some of these boys played high school ball this year while in the 8th grade and did very well. Looking forward to playing some of the teams mentioned in this thread. We have played against the Falkner twins several times.Very good players.
  15. I don't know if anyone else noticed but Cox and Cambell hugged each other in the middle of the gym floor after they shook hands. I was very proud of JBS at that time. I was also proud of Cambell.
  16. If you thought Jeff Honeycutt was such a fantastic coach[ AND I KNOW HE IS] why did you get rid of him? And for the one man show, it's just like the monkey " ONE STEAL DON"T STOP NO SHOW!"
  17. Tate Cox and Clark Stepp make all tournament team!!:thumb:
