  1. It all depends on who replaces him. If there is immediate name recognition, a faster pace of playing the coach is known for and connections to the pros(either getting players there or actually coaching there)---I dont think they would miss a beat. If the announcement was early enough they might land some one who they had no chance to get before. The worst scenario is to let it linger where no one knows if he is back with all the talk and their current season.
  2. AS i watched the end of the Vandy game in horror, I realized something . UK is a now a middle eschalon team of the SEC. They have become "us" and we have become "them".I remember not too long ago when we would be dominant when the game was on the line as well as come back from behind---and the other teams expected it to happen. Now we just hope Vandy wont beat us 5 times in row.And no--this just didnt happen. I dont know if Tubby should be fired but I do honestly believe it would be best for both if they went different ways at the end of the season. The wheels are falling off and if they lose to georgia or the first round of the SEC tournament they will be in a whirlwind.
  3. Sometimes we forget that these players were ASKED to play for UK. They just accepted the offer. If we have a problem with their lack of talent, lack of development, or being put in a bad situation--- that blame goes solely to the COACHES . If they have a bad attitude or are lazy --then that's a different story. However with Perry or Thomas that has never been the case.:thumb:
  4. If thats not a front page of the sports section story --I dont know what is ! Congrats Emily on a wonderful career.:thumb:
  5. If Ricky P. was a well dressed man, his wife definitely layed out his clothes for the game.
  6. I think they also deal better with the players and coaches in confrontations.
  7. I would agree with your logic. In fact if you look at R.H. during years when their talent level was much lower they never made it to the region with a draw. You have to have enough talent to win. I realize the draw seems to hold out a THEORETICAL wild card that you could make it to the regions without having a good team, however if you cant beat the 3rd seed during the season why would you think you would win in the post season. I think the better advantage would be if you were the second or third best team and do not have to meet the best team on the first round of the districts
  8. I am told ---one of the main reasons RH wanted to seed was to get 6 games without traveling(3 of which are home games) each year
  9. 1) who ever said UK this year was a great team? 2) teams(on a given night) beat better teams regularly in college hoops.
  10. My thoughts exactly. Sounds like sour grapes to me;) Ill bet the person who doesnt want a small all A school to play in their own tournament has no problem with other large schools playing in multiple holiday and season tournaments.
  11. I dont know --probably a slip of the tongue(keyboard)
  12. Best Dunk OFF the Court. Wireman dunking Spindoc with his predictions:flame:
  13. I think a few of the posters were silenced by the mods.
  14. Which is a tough thing for UK since he doesnt have to "declare". He can just be gone ,even the day before the season starts.
