Boyle County, Coach French
I am shocked that I am reading this. In 2 years since Coach French took over, he has lost 1 game and won a state title. THAT is restoring that Rebel pride. The man can obviously coach and is the one held responsible for wins/losses. So far, ... so good. A good leader surrounds himself with the right people to help get the job done. Obviously, he can pick em! As far as retirement, now that he has that state title, I would assume that he would be hungry for another. Seems like he is enjoying himself so let him coach as long as he wants! As long as Boyle County is winning, don't think you will hear any complaints from there!

Who is this year's Mr. Football winner?
I was shocked that Collinsworth didn't make the final cut. I thought he would be in the top 3-5 candidates at least, with a shot to win it.

Is Paducah Tilghman the 1st?
If it were up to MANY on this board, PT would have never even been in the playoffs. So many on here want to eliminate the #4 & #3 seeds to shorten the season by a week and prevent the #4 seeds from getting blown out. If they had their way, PT would not be the state champs, ... but they are! Big win for Paducah Tilman. MAJOR win.

5A Final: Highlands (14-0)/John Hardin (14-0) Updates
Collinsworth with 3 TDs already (12 attempts / 87 yards). Not a good first half for John Hardin.

4A Final: Boyle County 42 Lone Oak 39 2OT
What call would that be? The official play clock is kept on the field in HS, not on the playclock, which most schools don't have anyway. The play clock on the field is just an indicator, not the final say.

4A Final: Boyle County 42 Lone Oak 39 2OT
In HS, they do not normally have a play clock. The officials keep it on the field. Therefore. regardless of what the playclock said, unless we could see what the official has on the field, we can't say it should have been a delay of game. If the official says they got the play off in time, then that is it. I feel horrible for Lone Oak. To have an elusive state title in your grasp only to see it slip away. When it went to OT, I believed that Boyle Co would win it. They had all the momentum from the way the game ended.

Yes.

4A Final: Boyle County 42 Lone Oak 39 2OT
Lone Oak led by 16 points late in the 3rd quarter. Boyle puts together McShara had over 190 yards rushing and 1 TD PLUS over 100 yards receiving and a TD Goldsmith with around 200 yards passing, a TD pass, and 2 rushing TDs, both in OT. I hate this for Lone Oak, but that is why you have to play a full 4 quarters.
