Bell Co. beat Elliott Co. 72-69 a player from Bell had 39 pts, needless to say he was very solid. J. Ferguson had 25 and rebounded well, Et. Faulkner had 18 and T. Maynard had 15.

Word out of Russell is that Simon Kenton is putting together a package that will make Russell 1st assisant coach Jeff Davis a member of their staff. What does everyone think of this? I think Coach Davis would be a great hire for any program. I have heard that a lot of what Russell ran came from him. :thumb:

Todd Messer would be a good hire, he did very well with what he had at Fleming Co.

They are all doing very well, except for a few injurys the region is being well repersented with sound fundamental basketball. I heard that Maynard took the summer to work on getting stronger and quicker, and of course he will be shooting, lol. :fire:

There is also another great assisant coach applying from the eastern side of the region. Sorry, but this is all I am allowed to say.

Trusty from Morgan Co. is can't miss. He knows the region and what it takes to get out of it and go to Rupp. He is fairly young and would have a great work ethic. :ylsuper:

1. Russell 2. Elliott 3. Rowan 4. Ashland 5. Everyone else, these four will seperate themselves.

i hate to sound biased at all about this.......but i think elliott would have represented our region better than boyd or ashland........i think elliott and fairview was the two that would have showed the best (out of the teams in the regional tourney)

I think that this game proves that there should be seperate championchips. But, I really dobut if that will happen.

im like you if a small school won the state tournament it would just take away from them because they dont know how good they would have been against the bigger schools.....and it would take away from teh prestige of winning the state tournament
