Just to clear up some things... He didn't lead the team in home runs as a 8th grader, and he wasn't a catcher either. He was a spot starter in left field and earned a starting role by the end of the season. His older brother lead the team in home runs his 8th grade year as a senior and the catcher that season was Nick Diamond. The rest is right on, the sky is the limit for this kid only time will tell what the future withholds.

First off when Farris played at Trinity last season he was playing a sprang ankle. Not sure if you noticed but he was limping back to the hudle after every play, and still managed 106 yrds. I don't see that as too shaby. You saw him while he was hurt; if you see him at 100% your opinion will change.

I believe that Boone will be very good next year. They had a O-Line composed of mostly juniors; if they can find a way to fill the gap that Davis leaves, the Rebels will open a lot of eyes in NKY from game 1 against CCH and through the season. Boone always has a strong defense and will be led by Rob Domasko, Tanner Williams, and Nick Kaiser. Boone returns Bogle at QB, Duechet at WR, Farris at RB, and Domasko at FB. With the experience and talent at the skills positions I would look for Boone to put up some points. Only the season will tell the tale and I can't wait... :banana: :ylsuper:

Cory Farris(Soph) from Boone county had 26 carries for 326 yards and 2 TD's, 1 rec for 26 yard TD, against Louisville Ballard in the playoffs.That was in only 2 and a half quaters of play as well.

If you're going to talk about Boone then you need to add Andy Dietz and Cory Farris. Dietz(senior) will be one of the best pitchers in the 9th this season and Farris(Sophmore) will open many eyes this season catching and at the plate.

No, maybe he hasn't but i have and he isn't hitting 90. I would say he is a consistent 82-85 and can hit 88 on a good day, but 90 I don't think so. He is a very good pitcher though and Andy Dietz from Boone County is also another top Prospect from the area. He is left handed with a very nice curveball. It could be a interesting game if those two meet on the mound when Boone plays Beechwood this season.

I would have to say Cory Farris from Boone County would be one. Every time he has the ball he can break for a score no matter where they are on the field. He's strong, fast, and when nobody hits him till the second level he's gone. He not only has the ability to run by you and over you but, he can make you miss too. There is no arm tackling this kid. He's only going to be a Junior, look out NKY.

Have you seen any tapes on Farris? Have you seen the numbers that he has put up in the last two games? Or even the numbers which were put up at RB after only being there for half of the season. This kid may be a SOPH by age, but when he hits the field, his ability and heart shows to be far older and experienced. Your in for a rude awakening to think that he won't show you why people have been talking about him all this time. I'm sure Boone County will put up a good fight. And just a lil insider for you. There is a different Offensive Cordinator at Boone than when Brown and Davis was there. Up the gutt maybe, but this team can be down the sideline on you before you know it as well. Im sure Trinity is fast, strong, and mature at every position on the field. But don't under-estimate this young Boone county squad or you might have your hands full. Good Luck Rebels!!!

4thandGoal-Boone keeps the wheels rolling, to bad there gonna get stopped. Sounds to me like somebody needs to get over the fact that they didn't make it to the playoffs. Every team that made the playoffs this year disserved to be there, and Boone played their hearts out to be both Ballard and Dixie. Why is it that there is always somebody who has to try to put in their shots because they don't have the ability to root for NKY in general after their team is out? That's pretty childish if you ask me. How about a little encouragement, instead of remarks referring to a sure loss.

Now your just making excuses! Just accept defeat when it is handed to you. That is the mark of a truely good team.
