What were some of the best individual performances in a single game this season?

Featured Replies

I felt chase Minnifield of henry clay had an outstanding offensive performance against South Laurel in the playoffs this year. He had 7 carries 137 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns. and 1 recieving touchdown for a grand total of 214 all purpose yards. It was a game that people who where there will remember, what were some of the other outstanding individual performances this year?

Daniel Pugh-Paintsville 10 Total TD's in playoff win against Evarts. Over 500 yards of total offense.

Mr. Ryan Howard from Leslie turned loose on the Bobcats of Breathitt this past season. He rushed for 4 T.D.s in this game. Yards was to many to count. A heck of a player and should be lots of fun to watch next season as a Sr.

Pugh definitely came up big that night! OMG!!

Also, North Laurel's Asher for the 4 TD's in the monster upset of Madison Central. Not a lot of yards, but found the end zone quite often.

Zak Marcum had a tremendous game when he came back from injury this season for South Laurel with a ton of yards and quite a few TD's, but I cannot remember who it was against.

Minnifield's performance for HC against South Laurel was marvelous.

Petrino's performance against St X in the AAAA state title game was something to be discussed as well. He was the best player on the field that night! Wow!!!

Burke getting Lex Cath's first state title was big as well.

But, I would have to give my vote to Petrino. After all the questions about his size, he answered them all in a big way in the biggest game of the year.

JJ Hesch from Newport had a bunch of TD tosses in a game, I believe it was 8 or 9 in one half.

Williamsburg linebacker Aaron Root was in on 32 tackles against Harlan this past year, 24 solos and 8 assists officially.

The biggest performance that i seen this season was when JC played Boyd Co. in district play at Boyd Co. With alot on the line a chance at the district title, JC running back and states leading rusher Ron Blume had 430 yds rushing and 7 TD's. The play that totally blew me away was on a 3rd down on their own 8 yd line Ron ran to the left and was almost pulled down then reminded me of Larry Czonka when put his hand on the ground keeping his balance and then juked behind 2 defenders and then it was off to the races for a 92 yd TD run.

Cory Farris(Soph) from Boone county had 26 carries for 326 yards and 2 TD's, 1 rec for 26 yard TD, against Louisville Ballard in the playoffs. That was in only 2 and a half quaters of play as well.

I watched the film of this game and he pretty much ran free up and down the field. Then I had the honor of watching him in the Apple Bowl. :creepy:

Johnny Pop from Campbell County, rushing for 5 touchdowns agains holmes.

Kasey Clark of Russell in the 2A state title game. 36 carries for 196 yards, 3 rushing TDs and 1 TD recieving.

One great game I have witnessed was Ron Blume 420 + rushing, 7 TD performance against Boyd Co. This kid went "NUTS"

The best I have seen had to come in The Apple Bowl! Mr. Blume rushed for over 300 yds. and set the Apple Bowl record for most rushing yds. in a game by over 100 yds.

I beleive Jordan Kremer of Highlands had close to 200 yards rushing in the first half of thier playoff game against West Jessamine
