Now that I have thought about it is the reason they wait until Sunday is not all the field has been set on Saturday. Most years the 31st plays their finals on Saturday.

If memory serves me correctly, even when it starts on Monday they still draw on Sunday.

Owen advances to the championship game with a 67-49 victory.

Moore passed Williamstown’s Freddie Hale’s record of 3233 points which stood for 50 years. The record fell with a minute remaining during Owen’s 67-49 victory over Trimble County. The game was stopped and Hale, who was in attendance, was escorted to the court to present the game ball to Moore and pose for a photo.

Owen has salted this one away. 55-35 at the 3:15 mark.

The biggest surprise for me was a 24-6 Grant County squad with a bevy of big time victories had only one make the team. With only one All Region player Coach Utter should finish high in the statewide Coach of the Year voting.
