  1. Let's see..um....Ashland didn't invite Bath or Meniffee last season. If they wanted weak talent...then those were the schools to invite. Don't get me wrong...I always root for whoever is playing against Ashland...they stack the tourney...that's obvious. They tourney has lost its prestige...Was once the premiere holiday tourney...now it's a laugh. HOWEVER--they still have a decent little get together with some strong local talent~and some moderate state talent. (there is a difference between strong local and moderate state talent too).
  2. Who knows if this will happen or not. RH seems to have some issues with keeping thier kids there....when...um...maybe better offers come along...or whatever..... Shouldn't OJ and some others still be in school at RH?
  3. or any team that makes it out of the 15 or 16th region...as I see it..neither of those schools have "punched" thier tickets yet. How would the last team in the 7th region feel about playing Elliott in the Sweet 16....probably like any other team in the state....fortunate to be there. How would Trinity feel about playing for the KHSAA-PRIVATE SCHOOL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP?---
  4. Why not? THey have been involved in the tourney in the past... Ashland likes to have strong local talent as well.
  5. I saw on another thread where the Raceland Derby tourney next season was set. Just curious if anyone knows when the teams for next season's AIT will be announced. I would really love it if Elliott Co. was invited.
  6. I couldn't tell if the shot was off in time or not...I believe that it was....They woman next to the camera was yelling..so I couldn't hear the buzzer ... and the film didn't show the scoreboard.
  7. Just reviewed the tape...even cleaned it up some...There was no contact at all--I expected someone to claim it. After all, were the tables turned...I would have probably yelled "FOUL!"
  8. Here's pulling for the Elliott win. I could not be happier than with an Elliott/West championship game.
  9. I like the 425 in grades 9-12. Very few non-traditional high schools out there. It would be much more diffucult to manipulate your numbers---counting all students. It would be hard to "hold back" students in the 8th grade.
  10. They did win the Derby Tourney in December....So I think that would make them 1-2 in Championship games.
  11. Don't they also enter into a two-year agreement? I know our enrollment is WAY too big to be an All-A school this year (10-12). Our AD told me that we signed a two-year contract. Either way, I was glad we lost...it wasn't fair to the TrueA schools.
  12. Not to mention the fact that Mason has practiced in the gym for 6 months, they know the bounces off the rim, the weak spots in the floor, and are comfortable with the facilities. A few years ago I remember a Mason Co. fan having a shirt on that said something to the effect of "Not in My House." I say give it a shot at Montgomery or even NKU. What does it hurt to try?
  13. um..maybe not many, but some. I would vote for them as: *Most potential *Most athletic *Most exciting *Most "streaky" I expect to be giving up that #1 vote to them in the coming years though.
  14. Ouch... Bet Fairview and Boyd are a little disappointed.
  15. I don't think he "has it out" for any particular player. I just believe he isn't a careful official--as he is not well-liked by many schools. He seems to treat them all equally bad?? I believe that the coaches have some "Say" in who is assigned to ref their home games. Maybe the West staff should request that "JB" not do so many West games. All but two games is too many--the ref could get too familiar with the team.
  16. How do you know it has a better atmosphere than an arena that hasn't even been built? Are you that single sighted?
  17. Ok then, what about when they build the downtown Louisville arena? Since Lexington is an infant compred to Louisville's downtown, I believe the attendance would be much better at a new arena!
