  1. Will be very tough to do without forcing turnovers and Brossart is very good at taking care of the ball and playing smart. Should be a great game. Wish it wasn't at such an ignorant start time as I'd really like to be able to make it.
  2. Boring if you don't like watching fundamentally sound teams that play as a team and play suffocating defense....
  3. Side Bar's burgers are easily the best in the area. Only Terry's Turf Club can compete with them.
  4. Oh that's just ignorant. I was thinking it'd be the 7:30-8:00 game. Good luck with a half empty arena. Just stupid.
  5. I've never understood why they don't seed these things. Scott basically got rewarded for not winning their district. I don't see any of the teams in the bottom half being able to beat the winner of the Brossart/Montgomery Co. semi.
  6. Thanks for all the updates GS! Much appreciated!
  7. Filet Mignon chili is delicious....
  8. Another place I really love is Nick & Tony's Double Deckers in Covington....Great blackened talapia and really good sandwiches. Helps that it's only a block from my office.
  9. Kate Mara....Wowzers! I'll agree with Ru' on Robin Wright. I though she was hot, due to the fact I thought she was mid-50s. For someone in their 40s, she's just, "ehh".
  10. Kevin Spacey is one ruthless dude. Through the first 4 episodes, very solid.
  11. My buddy's now wife is cousins with the brothers and had them cater their rehearsal. Love that place. Plus they're clients of ours, so every now and then we can score some extremely discounted grub.
  12. ^Do they still have the cajun fries? I haven't had that place since I was in grade school and my Dad would take me to the downtown location.
  13. Some of my favorites: Eli's Terry's Turf Club Side Bar Bakersfield Camp Washington Chili Places on my list to try: Virgil's Anna Ree's Andouille Blue Ash Chili The Senate
  14. What are the best non-chain "hidden gem" resaurants in the NKY/Cincinnati area? I'm talking about the kind of place that you'd see on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and the like.
  15. Have this cooking for tonight.... 4 medium potatoes, cubed 4 medium carrots, cut in 1/4 inch slices 1 medium red onion, halved and sliced 1 celery rib, thinly sliced 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, to taste 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme pepper 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed 2 tablespoons oil 2 large tart apples, peeled and cubed 1 1/4 cups apple cider 1 tablespoon cider vinegar 1 bay leaf Directions: 1 - In a slow cooker, layer potatoes, carrots, onion and celery. 2 - Combine salt, thyme, pepper and caraway; sprinkle half over veggies. 3 - In a skillet, saute the chicken cubes in oil, until browned; transfer to a slow cooker. 4 - Top with apple. 5 - Combine the apple cider and vinegar; pour over chicken and apple. 6 - Sprinkle with remaining salt mixture. 7 - Top with bay leaf. 8 - Cover, and cook on high for 4-5 hours, or until veggies are tender, and chicken is cooked.
  16. Thanks! I'll have to give it a try.
  17. I have a few generic ones that I picked up at Kroger's, and I have one called "Cajun Swamp" that I picked up from Jungle Jims, but in all honesty it's pretty weak. The generic stuff has proved better IMO. I'd love to try my hand at a "homemade Cajun seasoning". Mind sharing the recipe?
  18. Made this one for dinner last night and it was absolutely delicious.... 4 pork tenderloins 2 8oz. cans of tomato sauce 2 tablespoons of cajun seasoning 1.5 teaspoons of cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of pepper Mix sauce and seasonings together, coat bottom of the slow cooker with 1/2 cup of sauce mixture. Put tenderloins in the slow cooker and pour remainder of sauce mixture over top. Cook on low for 7-7.5 hours. It was much spicier than I had anticipated, but was easily the easiest and best tasting item we've made in the slow cooker thus far.
  19. Have this slow cooking as we speak.... 2 lbs. angus stew beef 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup flour chopped potatoes chopped carrots chopped celery chopped onion 1 teaspoon paprika bay leaf minced garlic 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 cups beef broth 1 teaspoon cajun seasoning 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  20. So I figured it was only right of me to admit how wrong I was about Justin Townes Earle. For some reason I recently remembered you talking about how great he was, so this past week or so I decided to give him another try and can't get enough now. He's also playing at the Taft next Thursday night in Cincy. May try to see how he is live.
  21. Siri is the most pointless thing the iphone offers.
  22. Great win for the alma mater! I work with one of their coaches and they were focused and ready. Who do they play Friday?
  23. Wow, I hope he apologizes to his team. Absolutely no excuse for such a boneheaded decision. Players know better than that in 4th or 5th grade, nevermind coaches.
