  1. So you are a cheater and always will be? Is that what you're telling us?
  2. It was all in fun, but at the same time letting him know that he didn't like that he beat him up in the media to win the award. Taylor even said himself he thought it was clever and there would be a return package. It's funny that no one on here has ever made a mistake.
  3. Does anyone know if there is a j.v. game before varsity?
  4. I heard today that DJ has been cleared by a doctor to play tonight and it's the coach's decision. I guess we'll see tonight if he plays. On the discipline at Holmes, it's kinda like the Bengals situation. Henley has been watching the snowball grow bigger and faster each year. Which is a better lesson in life, winning or discipline?
  5. I thought that's waht you were getting at but from what I saw they sat in a soft zone and let them shoot open shots. As was stated earlier their leading scorer fouled out in the first half. From what I saw they honestly couldn't have done anything other than completely get out of the way for the score to be different.
  6. I know that you know the situatoin better than most people and that you care about Holmes. You would really kick all of them off or just one?
  7. I'm guessing you have no idea of the situation. I go back and forth w/ this all of the time. If some of these kids don't have basketball they don't go to school. It's different at Holmes than any other school around here. I feel for the coaches and the administration. Part of me feels like 5 games is nothing, the rest of me feels what will these kids do if they don't have structure somehwere? It's a fine line. A good friend of mine that went there years back said when most teams games get over the kids go out to eat or go home w/ family. Some of these kids go see if there family is alive. It's just totally different. I'm fine w/ the suspension w/ the exception of 1 player. At some point there are only so many chances a kid can get.
  8. I was actually lucky enough to catch the second half of this game as well. I think they were doing the opposite of trying to run it up. Futurecoach saw it close to the same way I did. I have no affiliation to the Ludlow program and I can tell you that at one point it looked like the girls were getting carried away w/ not taking shots, to the point that it was more emabarassing that they weren't taking very open easy shots and the head coach had to tell the players that they still had to play. I think they could have beat them 85-5 if they wanted to.
  9. Was anyone at this game that's commenting on it?
  10. In the tournamnet, in the next 5 games, or both?
  11. Even though it's a big game I think they should worry about getting everything together in house and then trying to make a run in the beginning of March. There is no doubt that they are talented, and they will be a very tough out in the tournament.
  12. Ok St was +9 Duke was +2.5 Butler was -4.5 Tennessee was -1.5 And Marquette was ranked last week It's tough to call it this year.
  13. It's tough to be a voter this year. There are 8-10 really good teams, then the next 25-30 are all inconsistent at best.
  14. I actually think you're in the majority, but the minority make themselves heard more often. My only question would be does the organazation ever see itself as a spender b/c the market may only get worse? Teams are free spending now b/c of the TV deal, and the Reds are standing pat. I hope they know how to draft and develop players.
  15. Are you assuming they will not be at full strength?
  16. I like the way the Indians are playing, Holmes on the other hand, have a lot of issues like always. I like HC 66-49.
  17. Holy Cross will beat Holmes this Friday and if they can pull the minor upset the following week at CCH they won't have to worry about either one of them again until the Regional finals. St Henry has a bunch of seniors I wouldn't count them out in the post season. My top 5 right now would be: 1. St Henry...big wins 2. HC...just a hunch 3. CCH...b/c I was told by someone outside of both programs that HC wins 4. Boone 5. take your pick, but Holmes will be a tough out at the end of they year IF they can get it together.
  18. I agree totally. I'm not trying to knock anyone, but if C. Grace is being mentioned as a CCH all timer then CCH doesn't have the history I thought. I'm pretty sure there are 10 forwards or centers that played at CCH that are better.
  19. I would put Troy Houston on the list for PG's, and Mike List at one of the forward spots, along with Dan Lenihan. You could always use Clark at C and put Joe Harney at the 3. I like your team, but if you wanted to go a bit smaller I would go w/ E. Goetz Td. Houston J. Harney A. McClendon Turkey Jones I think w/ Joe's size he's better suited for SF, but your team is very good and no matter what it would be easy to fill a team of 8-10.
  20. I seem to remember someone touting St. Henry before the season started.:sssh:
  21. I am a Cincinnati fan and I would love it if Pittsburgh hired a guy who has no control over his players and tries to ice an Nfl kicker kicking a 35 yard field goal w/ over a minute left in the game when he could obviously use that TO on the game winning drive. I appreciate what he's done to turn around the franchise, but I think a lot of people if given his freedom and Carson Palmer graduating could have done the same. He's never won a big game or even a meaningful game unless you count the Pittsburgh game last year which was not make or break.
  22. I'd hold off anointing anyone can't miss, but he will probably work his way into the 1st round after next year. What he does after that is anyone's guess.
  23. I heard again on the radio today that he will not play tonight.
